nice tip for "amazing" service

Receipt. I overestimated. It was $505.50.

I am not baller (yet). But as they say, when in Rome (or in BH...). This is a once a month "steak club" thing we do. I have very low overhead and buy no toys so I like to indulge myself once a month.

You can't post stories like this on here. You know that nerds are obsessed with Alba...

EDIT: WAIT, that's why you did it, isn't it?!

lol...exactly. Perhaps these guys can live vicariously through me (not that my life is all that exciting, but I DID have dinner next to J. Alba!!)

Perhaps someone mistakenly took Eva Longoria for Jessica Alba? I didn't watch the game, but Eva is usually at the Spurs game watching Parker.

edit: yeah I figured as above, should have read the whole thread before replying

Whew, i knew i wasn't delusional!!

pics or ban

Seriously, would you have busted out a camera and taken a picture with her while she was having dinner at one of the finest restaurants in LA?

Uhh ... Yes?

Seriously, I would have asked her for a pic if I saw her. She's a celebrity I'm sure she's used to that. And if she completely blew you off ... who cares? You aren't going to see her again.

I wouldn't exactly say that...I have a few connections in entertainment. In fact she dated the coworker for a short while (i think during Fantastic 4) of one of the friends at the dinner (William Morris Agency). BTW I am not saying I have a chance in hell in dating her.

thats what spiffy small cell phones with 2.0+ megapixel cameras built in are for... you coulda been pretty slick... my 6230i is soo small nooone woulda even ntoiced =P

You still tip like a cheap asshole even after that last thread. 15% is simply not acceptable -- especially for a restaurant like that. Act like you've been there before you stingy fvck.

What the hell man, $66 tip? Expensive dinner, cheap tip......how about eating cheaper next time and using the money to take care of the waitress.

Trust me, i thought about it, but it's very dim lighting for a phone camera pic.

WHICH IS A SH!TTTY ****** TIP. Especially at a restaurant LIKE THAT. Dude, listen, if I go over to Shula's and spend 200 dollars and get amazing service you can bet your ass I'm going to tip 70-80 bucks.

This is not Applebee's. Again, act like you've been there.

Or not trying to show off your e-wallet. I will say 15% is cheap for good service.

Do you really want to turn this into a tip thread again?

Again, you made ANOTHER brag thread about eating out. Then, when you tip extremely cheap, you expect no one to say anything. Perhaps if you want to brag about the fact dinner check then you shouldn't look like a couple of 16 year kids out for their first big meal, or a couple in their 70's that barely believe in tipping. You know the system, you said you had fantastic service, and then you pretty much stiff them.

15% might be slightly acceptable at Applebee's, but not at Wolfgang Puck's. You just look like a cheap ass or an immature kid when you get an expensive meal and don't take care of your server. If you cannot afford to tip then do NOT go.

I know this is hard to grasp, but 15% of $400+ is much more more than 15% of your Outback Steakhouse tab.

15% of $400 is "not acceptible"? You must be a waiter's dream. Only in America!

WTH? 15% tip isn't enough?

Yeah, everyone on ATOT usually tips twice the cost of their meal, didn't you know?

If you can't afford to tip well, you can't afford to eat there.

OP said it was amazing service and goes on to tip 16%. There's something wrong about that.
