I've never failed a job interview. I've been surprised the 2 times I didn't get a job.

so, in other words, you did fail.

The interviews were a success. That's why I was surprised I didn't get the job. The last time I got fired, the person firing me said he thought I was a good manager. Sometimes there are other reasons for not getting or losing a job other than being good at what you do.

Dont worry about it, just prep more and relax for the next one. Usually if you want it to bad or you maybe.arent the perfect fit the interview does not come natrally so you force it

Did you get fired or laid off?
If you get fired, there is probably a good reason for it.

I went to one interview in jeans and a t-shirt. The interviewer showed up in a suit, I knew I was in trouble. I passed everything technical ok and seemed to interview quite well but never heard back from them. I called to talk to them after the fact and they said their decision to pass me over was solely based on my appearance. I figured as much, but after being jerked around by them for the prior weeks before the interview I didn't care. I somewhat scoffed at them and informed them that appearances can be quite deceiving. After that phone call, they called me back for another interview and considered me yet again. The interviewer was impressed with my open nature and the fact that I stood up for myself and my appearance, which I based on the "hands on" job I was applying for. He appreciated the fact that I was interviewing for a "hands on" position and dressed ready to demonstrate my skills as opposed to "prettying myself up for an interview". In the long run, we weren't a good fit and I ultimately turned them down. I did learn a lot about interviewing and myself during that process though.

I've never interviewed in jeans and a shirt, even for fast food.

We miss you tpf, but your new personality blows. Then again I remember when you first joined as tfp, you would reply"lol" to everything! It annoyed the hell out of us, hopefully this one improves as well. Was that your inspiration for "lol"bron?

Anyways, either improve this personality or apologize and come back as tfp when your ban is up.

Cheers

Interesting that you finagled your way back in, but I always dress formal for an interview. There's really no reason not to. The furtherest I've gone is going biz caz to a catering hall interview (after being told to do so by the employer).

Cleveland...

One company I interviewed for I was laughed at by the reception and HR staff when I walked in - they knew instantly I was there for an interview before I even said a word as I was dressed in suit and tie. The HR manager told me that would be the last time I would be allowed in the building in a suit.
