A ref Ti ($630), and going to OC it. I am not playing a premium for a card that wont hold clocks.
Thats a great price and the ref cooler is excellent as far as blowers go. That thing is built to last.

Sounds right, actually now that you mention it I remember reading something about that at some point. GPU-Z says my bios is 80.80.31.00.80
Edit: Found this http://forums.evga.com/tm.aspx?m=2062643 seems like its a mixed bag of opinions as far as whether thats true or not. Some people are saying that both A1 and B1 chips are using that Bios that supposedly only is used with the B1s. It's possible the bios was released shortly before the B1 revision and so some A1s were released with it. In any case there is apparently not a significant difference between the A1 and B1, I guess temps might be a little bit lower but thats about it. So unless you are doing some extreme overclocking and volt modding it isnt really an issue
Edit again: I looked over that forum post again, and the poster stated that the 80.80.21 was the B1 version bios, when I think he ment 80.80.31. Judging from other forums the B1s have 80.80.31 but I still dont know if thats a definitive way to tell whether you have the B1 or A1
46 I think there is a good chance you got a B1 on your FTW. I am still on the fence whether or not to get a 780 myself.
What memory brand did your new FTW come with?
(to check use Nvidia Inspector & place mouse over GDDR5)
I didn't know that and was still using the last version so just updated per below, thanks Revenger.GPU-Z 0.76 shows it by default now.

If I were you I would probably wait for high end Maxwell to come out, unless you find a killer deal. the 770 is no slouch

I know /agree and am leaning that way to be honest, the oc 770 is playing my games really well at 1080p imo and is really what I should do and would be the smart thing imo. Believe me if the 770 wasn't playing as well as it is imo I would be going with a 780 for sure. But there is a small part of me that just wants a 780 for the extra power, to play around with overclocking and running BM's which is fun to have/do imo.
The Tri X 290 I like also, but price is too high and Mantle from what I seen/read so far is not a big enough factor imo at this time for the price of a Tri X and the TRI X is the only 290 I would consider imo.
I will most likely keep the 770 unless like you said I can get a great deal on one.
