So, I'm safer to smoke firsthand than secondhand? Sweet, I'll go buy a pack.

buhahaha, agreed, it makes no sense to say that second hand smoking is worse than first hand, yes it can be bad but noway worse.. ****** just the logic in that the smoker too has to breathe the air filled with smoke should show that second hand smoking can't be worse than first hand...

Smoke in fresh air, friend is near by, picks up smoke.
Smoke inside, friend is near by, picks up smoke and you pick up smoke... You're still going to be inhaling more than the second hand smoker...

You should not have smoked in the apartment with a baby present, but in all the other situations you were in the right.

She was not paying rent, you were letting her stay there for free, she has ZERO say as to what happens and if she doesn't like it she is free to move out.

Just read the OP.

LOL.... you got what you asked for, OP.

However, it's nice to see your friend was man enough to bail you out.

If she had given you any money for those accommodations, I might feel a little sympathy.

As she's a freeloading psychotic, I have none.

You did the right thing. The kid's life will suck for the next several years, but it's ultimately up the the parent and no one else to fix that.

This is also what I want to know. You've said a lot in this thread; and I sympathize with you almost 100%, the hell with the naysayers. BUT, if you were tapping said MILF, then that's a whole other story.

If said tapping was in fact, happening, it's no longer a charity roommate, but a GF. :Q Hey, I'm all for MILFs; when you're almost 40, that's pretty much all that's left.

Before I pass final judgement, answer the question:

Was there tapping happening or not?

Shes a crazy f0cking b!tch.

You should have kicked her out sooner. She isn't paying sh!t.

I do think it is bad taste to smoke in your house with a baby about. Granted it is your OWN HOUSE and shes paying jack...kick her out.

You better hope she doesn't come back. Here in ohio atleast if someone stays with you for that long. There considered to be a resident(something like that) and you have to give them 30 days notice and go though an eviction if they don't leave within that 30 days. It happened at this rental property I used to work at. This crack head got into a fight with her boyfriend. He wouldn't leave so she called the cops. They told her that she can't kick him out. Like a week or two later she ended up stabbing him. I guess thats one way to get him out when the cops won't do it.

Anyway if I was your friend I would of hit her back. Girl or not you don't hit me in the face 13 times.

I see you said last night that she had agreed to pay rent and agreed to your house rules when she moved in. When she started to violate the rules and never paid a cent, she forfeited her right to stay. Obviously she has some problems to be acting as she does - for someone to stay at someone's place without paying , use their car, and let their cat ruin things and still rant and rave about things... that's not how normal people act.

Why the hell did you let someone, especially one with a kid, move in?! Friend or not, she has no right to tell you anything because she's a freeloader and a failure in life. She has a bastard child who'll grow up messed up like she has and the fact that even her own sister kicked her sorry a$$ out speaks volume about the type of character she is. You have your life to live and you should have had the balls in the first place to tell her that if she doesn't like living there, no one is forcing her to stay. The baby's not your problem and if the living condition isn't ideal for her 'precious' bastard child, she can go live someplace else.

Why the hell do you make "friends" with these psychotic people? I make enemies with them, it works out much better for me.

Your poll is total BS. Add some in-between options for actual optionions.

Your actions are totally BS. YOu invite a woman with child to live with you and her complaining about you smoking isn't legit? Give me a break.

I'm homo.

That's right.

I don't even get sex out of it.
I don't even get to look at something attractive.

Even If I were straight, she's unsuitable for either.

i think you were fine. she ended up being a major headache and on top of that you are way young. as much as I feel terrible for the child, i'm not really sure what you could have done in this situation. maybe, just maybe, if she crawls back you can lay some very strong ground rules that she has to follow (which should definitely include the payment of rent for her room and the car (and of course, you can adjust it so that it within her budget)). make sure she understands your needs/desires but that you will also respect the fact that she has a baby with her and want to help her until she gets on her feet. Also, make it clear that once she is financially able to, she should assume that she will need to leave and find her own apt and mode of transportation (and that it is completely within your discretion as to when/if that happens). finally, let her know that you will be reasonable but that if gets to be too much, you will kick her out again (and above all, let her know that you aren't signing her up as a co-tenant or anything like that; this is all merely a gift for her so that she can get back on her feet (don't want the legal headache of a landlord/tenant relationship); although, if she ever did take you to court she may be able to assert rights as a tenant because she was paying for housing; you may be in a better position if you don't charge anything for the apt (but you could make her pay for gas and whatnot)).

only thing i disagree with that you did was allowing your friends to smoke in your apt when you knew there was a baby there.

other than that, you're not fvcking married to this woman and these are the prime years of your life; she better fvcking realize that.

edit: AND, if she has warrants (!) outstanding, just realize that if the cops arrest her in YOUR home, make sure you have NOTHING that can be used against you (i.e. weed, etc.) in plain-view. She is a major liability with outstanding warrants.

AND, i'm not an attorney so don't take my statements as fact.
