So I looked and not found. Which current car is Carplay/Android Auto compatible?

I've been test driving a few cars lately. Bimmer, toyota, honda, merc, subaru and none has carplay or android auto mentioned in the feature list. To me, it's kind of important for my phone and car to play well together. I know about the bluetooth technology and i know I can stream music and stuff to the phone. But carplay/android auto is the next big thing and I just don't want to miss out. Can anyone direct me to a car that has the feature ready?

I believe the new MB C class has Carplay, the only other I know of is the Volvo XC90.

The only way I know to get Android Auto is through Pioneer after-market head units.

The 2016 GTI will have it. They should be announced soon. Probably other VW models will have it next year too. Not sure of which current cars have it.

Apparently its going to be a hybrid type system where the correct interface loads up based on you connecting an android or iphone. Pretty cool.

This is mainly coming in the next generation of head units, for which most companies are still finishing the development cycle on. If you need it now, you're pretty much out of luck. But if you can wait another solid year, you should see it on many of the new models. Ford Sync 3 will have it across the lineup (coming out on 2016/2017 vehicles). Uconnect will have it in 2016 vehicles I believe (All Rams, Chryslers, Jeeps, Dodges, and Fiats). This next Kia Uvo will have it (pretty sure 2017). Subaru will reportedly have it, but with their development cycles that will probably be 2021 .

I saw a quick look at the system and that was in a Hyundai, so most likely. Looks like everyone is gearing it up for 2016/17 models. Kind of surprised all these Manu's are getting this out at roughly the same time.

Going into all 2016 VWs, IIRC. My wife is waiting on a 2016 model for this reason.

Cool. VW is doing it right by adopting three platforms. Looks like I just have to get a used car for now and wait for 2016 car.

Any idea which month 2016 cars will be on dealership lot?

2016 Corvette will have it. From the Bash this week, the wording indicates that both Android and iPhone will be supported.
