So I made a rib roast on the grill.

Oh, Jesus, that is an exquisite piece of meat.

EDIT: Alternator-sized, even.

Actually, I wasn't able to find my meat thermometer so I just cooked it for a little over and hour. I got lucky.

Man, I agree almost perfect. You just needed to cook it about a half an hour more! To rare for my tastes. I hope you enjoyed it though.

Man that looks tasty. What kind of rotesserie (sp) are you using with the chargriller? Great grill by the way. I have one with the side fire box attached for smoking.

I forget the brand, I want to say "Pro Griller" or something like that. It was a universal at Menards for $30. It fits ok, not perfect. I have to open up the notches a bit on the sides of the grill to make it close all the way. It gets the job done for now.

The side firebox is my next purchase for the grill. I can't wait to slooooow cook some ribs.

The higher quality the meat, the more rare I like it.

I bought the grill at Menards, it was on sale for $90. If you go to the site above then to Our Products / Grills and Smokers you'll see the grills they have available. I have the 'Super Pro'. I'll be getting the side firebox for it (under Accessories) next.

Recent super-pro purchaser here. My favorite aspect of the grill is the cast-iron grates. Nice & thick for even heat, plus, flare ups can't get through. It was at Lowe's for $119 after coupon. Any other model, & I would have to have it shipped for at least $65. Now I just need to find a good cover that fits it's dimensions. I read the official Char-Griller cover wears down in a matter of months.

Wow, thanks for the link. Looks like I have a new site to check out.

My son's 1st birthday is on 9/1, I think a nice big 15+lb rib roast will work out nicely. The one I cooked in the OP was just under 4lbs. I'll have to ask the butcher if he has a cylinder head sized 'cube' of meat.
