I feel like messaging that guy and asking him if he's ever read anything by George R.R. Martin, Tom Clancy, David Weber or Stephen King. Unprofessional but OH SO TEMPTING.

To many character perspectives

Format: Paperback
Too much jumping around to become invested in any character. I made it about 30% through the book before the shifting perspectives pushed me away. There are people that clearly enjoy this writing style but it is not for me.

What's weird is, IMO the 4-star reviews are the ones that sell the book.

I've got my fingers crossed. I personally felt the first quarter of the book was a bit of a slow burn, and I pushed back on my editors that wanted to trim some of the flashback action sequences. So if you've made it this far, it (IMHO) starts trucking along after this point.

I finally finished reading 2312 by K.S.Robinson and have made it through about the first 200 pages of "A Place Outside the Wild."
Its good reading. I like all the many references and all the research that went into the story.

I don't think the woman will want to read it, but she didn't read any of Max Brooks stuff either ....
