I have never been so sore in my life. Every muscle from my neck to my calves is in pain. I had to sit out like 15 minutes right at the end of the warm up through the first bit of the lesson because I was overworking myself and threw up 3 times. But after even just the first lesson I'm impressed with what I've learned. This is definately stuff I can see coming into practical use. I look forward to my future lessons. And I better since after last night I signed a year contract. I'm making damn sure I keep up with this.

Find yourself needing to beat someone's ass often?

KM is reactional and defensive, or at least designed to be. Outside of teaching you the basic punch and kick (to be used in reactive moves), there's no offensive teachings.

I wouldn't say Krav Maga made you sore and threw up...you just sound either out of shape, pitifully weak, or ate something you shouldn't have. Especially during the warm-ups. No offense.

I've been taking lessons for about 1.5 months now. I lasted the whole first session, but I was sore as shit the next day. Wait until you do break falls from heights. We literally took some folding chairs, stood on them, closed our eyes, and the next person in line pushed us off. Onto a mat of course, but that was awesome.

Knife and Gun Defense are also kickass.

Been doing a boxing conditioning class 1-2 times a week since early November. Definitely an incredible workout - I imagine some other physical sports have good workouts as well.

If you threw up 3x in 15 minutes, there's something not right there!

A person isn't allowed to defend themselves?

I studied Krav Maga for several years. I still remember the bloody knuckles, sore shins, sore arms and not being able to lift my hand to the top of the steering wheel after the class. That's the best shape I have ever been in my life.
My wife and I did a demonstration at a Temple in front of a large audience. I have video of my wife (5'2") taking down a 6' 180 lb guy so hard that you could hear a collective gasp as he hit the ground. I know not to mess with her.

You've never become nauseous from working out too hard? It happens.

"...I don't care what happens.. you know... it aches and if I fall down I have no fear of fainting in a gym because I know it could happen... I threw up many times while I was working out, but it doesn't matter... because it was all worth it." (@ 5:20)

The only time I threw up was when we did sprints in advanced conditioning for like 20 mins straight 6am in the morning. But I blame my lack of sleep (like 3hrs or so), my skin felt very dry and I couldn't sweat. There were other times that I came close to throwing up after intense workouts, but mostly because I was going too hard after couple weeks of inactivity.
