so i was just fired from my job

man i feel like crap. i was just let go from my company which i worked for about a year. i do desktop support for a lab company. we have 2 facilities and i accidently transferred some documents from facility 1 to facility 2 and back to facility 1. its a no-no to transfer them back to facility one. anyhow a "corrective actions" report was filed by the qa department which was to destroy the document back at facility 2. so when that was done our it department has to go thru retraining on this today(which we did). then about an hour ago by boss called me in letting me know the company was terminating my employment. they gave me a severance check, and sick time.


im just in shock because ive never been fired before. it was by far my favorite company to work for, i was paid well for my position i felt, and was 5 minutes away from work, had the best boss i ever had. in fact i moved to this area just to be closer to here. i hate doing this desktop crap and was studying to work on my mcsa/msce, and was hoping to get a promotion by the end of next year if possible. i just feel like everything ive worked for the past year at the place has been flushed down the toilet and now i gotta start from ground zero. i really want to work for a company that can offer opportunites for advancement. well if anyone in the los angeles area knows of any openings let me know.

i guess so. the thing is this place is regulated by the fda so they have strict guidelines.

i know i will. the thing is i worked so hard there with the intent of promotion, now all of that work is lost and i have to start from scratch somewhere else.
