I agree with your posts and while you sound 'gay' to most ATOTers.. you can tell from your posting you're not. It's just good style, that's all. And that gets the girls, I think we both know first hand. I admit the popping the collar got a lot of responses, but I even do it in a while when it goes with the clothes..

Make a thread to see how many people will actually wear yellow/red/green, if they get a facial or trim their eyebrows. Then corellate that with how many women you get...

My girl is trying to get me to wear pink.. and I'm not talking pink dress shirt.. more like a pink tshirt or a pink tank. I haven't conceeded to that one yet.. .I'm not brave enough to wear that downtown..

Square One is my mall.

And your GF was at the CN tower.

Thats how it starts. First she wants you to wear pink. Then she wants you to help her hang drapes. Before you know it you're driving to home depot in your minivan so you can mentally masturbate over tools she wont let you buy because you don't have balls anymore.

The women I date know that I'm a man. They wouldn't even consider asking me to wear pink.

But yeah, just keep telling yourself that being your girlfriend's bitch is cool.

Apparantly in your little fit, you didn't read...

The answer to the pink was a NO.

Yes, I OC my computer, yes I know fan specs. Can I mod the system? Sure. But hey, we all have an outside life and I live mine stylishly. I'm not sure how old you are, but I'm definetely not in the condition to be masturbating over power tools... and I wonder where you got that idea from.

I get hit on quite often by gay guys, which is odd, cause I am seldom assumed to be gay except for by other guys.

Quite often indeed, its sad though when you have more game swinging your opposite way, oh well, I'll shop off my mood in West Hollywood.:brokenheart:

Presuming you are being honest and up front about everything, then you fit into a well established societal niche'. The proper descriptive for men like yourself is effeminate heterosexuals. It's no BFD, but it will give many with gaydar a false positive due to the fact that you are a minority in comparison to gay men who share your passion for dressing, personal appearance, and flamboyance.

Now you have a succinct description to offer up to those who are confused by your effeminate habits/pursuits. This means you are the perfect guy to some women *you have obviously discovered this already* while other ladies who prefer their men burly ect. will take a pass in most instances, which is par for the course.

HAHAHA. Over-compensating? No. I'm VERY self-confident. Of course I don't need to wear certain clothes to pick up women, I do it for myself. I enjoy nice clothes and improving my appearence. Many of you like over-clocking computers and adding fans, etc. Some of you love modifying cars. I don't get that sh!t just as you don't get fashion.

But here's the deal...if I like overclocking computers and adding fans, I'm a nerd. If I like fashion, I'm gay. It's all about the stereotypes.

I've read your posts. If you can assume that I am (and everybody else on here is) a nerdy loser who can't get a girl because I post about technical things on a technical message board, I'll assume you're gay because you like pink shirts, pop your collar and feel the need to be overly defensive about it.

Judging people based on their message board posts isn't usually very accurate, but it's natural to make some assumptions, we all do it. If you're as self-confident as you claim, why not just ignore it? I assume you know you're not gay (or whatever), so who cares what we think? Why get all defensive and try to convince a bunch of random people on the internet that you are straight? Ask me if I care when I get lumped into the generalizations about nerdy AT posters on here and nerdy computer engineers in real life.

You like fashion? Fine, but you better get used to people assuming you're gay, because only gay men are supposed to know about fashion and buy pink and purple shirts. Stupid generalization? Maybe, but no worse than "all you nerdy losers on ATOT", and if everyone else can deal with that, I think you can deal with your particular stereotype.

I think that concludes this thread nicely, ladies and gentlemen. Nothing more to see here.

No way. I demand more gay jokes!

If this had happened to a normal guy, they simply would have shrugged it off and moved on with their life. But you, Brigden, had to bronze and wall mount this incident through this thread . Goodluck with that...

How did this thread get resurrected?

Oh well, I'll put my two cents in by saying that I go out often, I have less sex than I'd like (every night), but I'm far from a virgin. Of the three gay friends I have two of them had sex with countless women before admitting to themselves that they were gay. I also have a friend who swears he's straight and gets laid frequently. He pops his collar as you do, and I refuse to be anywhere near him at a bar when he's like that. I know of two gay men that have had crushes on me.

All that being said, I think that popping your collar isn't gay, it's f***ing retarded. It doesn't look good. It's like a nose ring: some can pull it off and it won't make them look bad, but NOBODY looks better with it. As for that shirt, even my gay friends wouldn't wear that, and I'm quite sure about that. Just like any other sane person, they're fine with who they are but running around with an "I'm gay" sign on their backs is not the way they want to live their lives. If you're comfortable with it that's fine, but don't complain when someone mistakes you for being gay.

Now, the one thing I want to know (that hasn't been answered) is, if you're not gay, why do you have a female avatar? You think it's a statement? I'll tell you honestly, between all these threads complaining about not being gay and having a femal avatar, it sounds like a desperate plea. If you're gay, it's cool, but if you don't think that you display classic signs of a gay person not admitting to himself that they're gay, then you're just not paying attention.

A real man does whatever the fvck he wants and doesn't give two sh!ts what others think about him.

A fake man behaves the way society tells him a man should be.

If you honestly believe that one's avatar choice reflects one's sexual preference, what does your choice say about you?

If you go shopping for clothes with your guy friends, there's a good chance you are gay.

I was out with my girlfriend at the mall last weekend looking for a jacket for myself. She picked up this one, and I said it looked like something a gay man would wear. Well, five minutes later I saw a gay couple checking out the jacket, one of them trying to look vogue infront of the mirror.

I felt like I really called that one.

Metro's like yourself are aspiring gay men. You strive to fit into the gay culture so you should be flattered that you succeeded to such a degree that complete strangers automatically assume you are gay.
