So I'm at Wal-Mart today and purchase a CD...

I was at Wal-Mart buying a drill, and decided I should pick up a CD or two. So I got the 50 Cent CD Hey, no flaming!

I get home and put it in - now I already have the MP3s but wanted the higher quality CD...every other word on the CD is just blanked out...i'm like ...WTF? Then it hit me. It's Wal-Mart...it's some super edited CD. It's like more edited than the radio! Now I have to go back and tell them the CD is defective...if they make me exchange it for the same thing, I'm just going to return it like 20 times till I get my money back...F walmart.

How can you sell games such as GTA but not carry CD's with parental advisory stickers?

sounds like you got the "Clean" version...

you gotta look at the top on the white sticker.. and see if the words "Clean Version" are there..

also.. if on the front cover it doesn't have the "Explicit Lyrics" box, then its the "Clean Version"

And, its not being Wal-Mart that is a bad thing.. I've purchashed many cd's at Wal-Mart that have not been the "clean" version..

Pay attention, and make sure you get what you are looking for..

happend to me once with a cypress hill cd. I was like wtf is going on here. Then i looked at the cd closely and in tiny tiny itty bitty small print it said EDITED
returned it to one walmart saying it was defective and they gave me another one shrink wrapped. Took that one to a different walmart saying it was a gift and i dont want it.

I never understood that, either. But I believe it has something to do with the fact that games are rated by a standard rating system (ESRB) and every game has a rating on it, whereas music doesn't. If music had some sort of rating on it, then Wal-mart would probably carry the unedited versions of CDs.
