Ctrl-Tab will also switch between tabs, and is much closer on keyboard than Ctrl-PgUp/PgDn

I have been using Phoenix for about a month now, and i LOVE it

Phoenix = open in less than a second!

Could never go back to IE now!

Ok this tabs thing doesn't seem revolutionary (instead of tabs in the task bar, they're in the program, it's a little better but not by much)

i'm suprised you say that. It is so much easier to work between windows this way. Tabbed browsing rocks.

How? Like I said, instead of having tabs in the task bar, which I can alt-tab through, I have them at the top of the browser window *shrug*

When you have 85,480 windows open at once, it becomes a godsend

That's why I posted this! I'm trying man, I'm trying I just don't see any other advantage than seeing my taskbar being cleared up I don't see it as a "godsend", at least not yet

Tabbed browsing.

That is why I use it.

what's the tabbed browsing all about?

Right click on a link, select open in new tab. Its wonderful.

Wow almost the same as clicking on a link and open in new window in windows. And if you have enough windows open they all fall into one little thing in your taskbar, so you click that and select your site. Mozilla does not sound exciting at all.

Heh, well I really wouldn't call it a "godsend" either.

True, but you need more than the 4-5 windows I generally have open for them to consolidate into one taskbar button. Plus when you've got Excel, Outlook, Word, Winamp, and the browser open, those taskbar buttons get really cluttered. Also, I like being able to minimise the whole shebang at once instead of having to minimise 4-5 different browser windows.

Iono about you, but I'm completely used to my 10+ IE windows open. Right now, I have 13 IMs open, 12 IE Windows open, and Winamp going, but it's all sorted out into 3 spaces on my task bar. Plus at 1600X1200 I can fit everything in still.

Edit: If you dl TweakXP you can set the grouping to 2 if you want it like that.

The other thing, I use my Intellimouse Explorer buttons to close open windows, is there any way I can set mozilla to take that command to shut a tab instead of the whole program?

The tabs are in the same window instead of in separate windows.

I'd post a screenshot, but I'm lazy.

Tabbed browsing is kick ass. I set mine on middle click (pushing in the scroll wheel). EDIT->Pref->Navigator->Tabbed Browsing->Middle-Click/cntr-click
I also set mine to load in the background, so I can open a bunch of threads and continue browsing threads while they load. Same as above, but "Load links in background".

You can prevent most pop-ups (yes I have found a few that get around it). EDIT->Pref->Advanced->Scripts/Plugins.
Turn off "open unrequested windows". I also have "move/resize" turned off.

What he said. Almost exactly actually.

They have done that in KDE since 3.0, but that is history, right, nothing to brag about... but that it creates tabs in the window you are currently using? YEAH, XP will do that, right? You just don't get it until you have tried it... but it's scary, i know, if you say please, someone might hold your hand...
