It's got just under 84,000 miles on it, the body is in excellent shape, and it has a lot of work done to it. The suspension is completly redone, its got stablizer bars in the trunk and engine, its got performance drilled/slotted rotors, CAI, brand new 17" Rims & tires, cat-back exaust, and a lot of other engine work done to it I don't remember off hand.

The asking price is $12,700, and I have a trade in that I expect to about $2,500 out of. I've test driven it, and it suffice it to say it moves quickly. If I can talk them down, do you guys think this car is worth it?

I found a pic of a car that looks exactly like it with the exception of the rims: Link

Almost $13,000 for a 6 year old slammed civic with 84,000 miles? And you are considering it?

BWAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thats a lot of miles for that price. mods add hardly anything to the value. he'd be better off parting out the car, then selling it stock. but ya, might be a little high. plus u have to factor in the percentage of "beat-to-shittageness"

Run. Away. FAST.

Do you think a car like that has much life left? Cars like that are raced and generally abused. BAAAD idea. 84K on that thing.... probably more like 200K on a standard vehicle.

If you are going to make a joke, or worse yet, a racial one, why not get it right at least? What the heck is a rice burner? You mean a rice rocket? What's a rice burner? A car that burns grass found in Africa and Asia?

Nah, too much.
Even if thats a Civic Si.

I bought the same 2000 Civic Si stock with 90K miles and over $1000+ worth of audio stuff professionally installed for $7300 about a yr ago.

i wouldn't do it... just buy a newer civic and mod it if you want... +80k miles is A LOT!!!

Buy one stock and mod it yourself. It has been abbused and you would learn a lot more if you did it on your own.

KBB online valuation tool has a option now for noting modifications and it lowers the value.

dont do it.

sounds like the person before you ripped that car at some high speeds.

if you can talk him to 8000 or so...maybe! hahaha

I paid 7.5 for my 2000 jetta 1.8t, stock. beautiful. 80k miles, but the guy who owned it was a VW mechanic, so he fixed it all!

those cars look aged now. esp with the new civics style. its driven by a ricer..beaten to death. its been modded, reliability gone. its 6 years old..its best years are behind it. stuff has started to wear and will start to fail and will become your problem. its over priced. mods are expensive sure, but i don't think it tranlates into resell value.

hrmm., id stay clear from it. not only was it prolly beaten around a lot, think about insurance cost and how easy it could be stolen. that model si was one of the most stolen cars ever.
