They were like 7 when they started HP1. I can't think of any kids that can act (well) at that age.

Not to mention Rickman's brilliance makes up for everyone else's shortcomings. Though honestly I can't think of any adults in the movies that acted that horribly.

i'm between Netflix'es so i was shopping for a cheap VHS.

found "Sorcerer's Stone" for $1 yesterday.

i think it does a better job of keeping to the book storyline than some of the later books. of course the Sorcerer's Stone book was pretty short.

i wonder if JK Rowling, when she had Potter swallow the snitch in Book 1, knew that it would come in handy later on.

i'm between Netflix'es so i was shopping for a cheap VHS.

found "Sorcerer's Stone" for $1 yesterday.

i think it does a better job of keeping to the book storyline than some of the later books. of course the Sorcerer's Stone book was pretty short.

i wonder if JK Rowling, when she had Potter swallow the snitch in Book 1, knew that it would come in handy later on.

I bought my wife years 1-6 on blu ray for Christmas, and I'll pick up the last two for her as well. I just can't get into them and get really bored watching them, but she loves them and that's what counts.

The story is surprisingly good across all of the movies. Not sure why it's labeled a kids show- a lot of it is very adult oriented.

Number 5 is the best (order of the phoenix). Lots of action and a great villain in Dolores Umbridge. I like the not so subtle anti-facist theme, it's like 1984 for kids.

Yes, she knew the entire story arc before the first book was every published. She even had the final chapter written and locked up in a safe for years before the book it goes in was written.

I can't tell if you're serious or not... sounds like something she would claim (or fans would claim) just to make it sound cooler. Like when she said Dumbledore was supposed to be gay. Just BS to stir the pot a little more since she was fading from the spotlight as her books were finished.
