First of all, prick is not profane anymore. It's allowed on network television. There is no language filter. Has not been for 1 1/2 years
Secondly, I read the thread and your comment to Olds was condescending.
What a mature, modest and constructive post?
Without that comment, I am sure he wouln't have come back at you as he did.
You really did start that one.
Olds did post a half hearted apology at the bottom and that's probably all you are going to get from him. I suggest you drop it and develop a little thicker skin. Also, do not post as you did above without expecting a retort. Sorry. If you feel you want to post again in the PFI thread go ahead, but I am locking it very soon.
The answers to your questions are elite members are just members. They are not expected to be at a higher standard than anyone. We mods are also not held to a higher standard either, so if you are thinking that we should be, then you are wrong. It's in the rules/guidelines by Derek Wilson in PFI

esquared,
I know that there will always be those who post "I guess they don't teach English any more". Such a post instigates animosity and I am sorry that I fell for it. I am at fault there.
The main reason I started the thread in the Personal Forum Issues was my hope to see a mod clean up the thread from trolling as I had seen them do before.
I thought the trolling was disrespectful and did not promote civility, sense of community, and mutual respect. I am sorry that I caused it.
I really did not need an apology from anyone.
I have decided to reduce my activity on AnandTech.
I have removed access to my images that I had created over the years for AT.
I have edited a few of my posts (one is a sticky on the Cases & Cooling) and will add a link to this post.
I can imagine how frustrating it can be when you are in charge and everyone comes to you complaining and whining about every other thing ....
Thanks for replying to my PM.
Thanks to the posters who said "Thanks" when a post I made helped them. Those "Thank you" posts made all the efforts worthwhile.
All the best.
