So my AZIO MK-Retro died on me.

So only after a few years of use my AZIO MK-Retro keyboard died on me about 20 minutes ago. I first tried changing USB ports, but no dice so I went back the White Alps clone off brand Keyboard that I brought I when built my system. I have to bottom out hard to register the key presses, which is tiring. I greatly prefer the Kailh Blue mech switch instead.

So I am in the Market for a proper Mechanical Keyboard... Maybe I will even get a custom Keyboard from WASD or Max Keyboards. Which one is better in legends durability?

@VirtualLarry Since you buy mechanical keyboard kind of often what is your Humble Opinion on this subject?

I buy cheap ones, that last maybe 6 months to a year.

I'd call AZIO first and see what they say. Mechs are supposed to be built well. I don't think I've had one fail yet, including the cheap monoprice ones I have.

I'll plug it back in and see if will work. I've done that with a no name keyboard once that died on me. TBH I about ready for a new keyboard anyway. The dash key doesn't even work on the keyboard I'm using.

I used Azio (the MK MAC and MK HUE) on my machines when I had a good desktop office setup at home. At work though for the last few years, I've used a Logitech G610 Orion and almost wish I would've gotten another one for home use instead.

It uses Cherry MX Brown switches and the tactile feel + response don't take long to get used to at all. I've had a very satisfying experience with this overall.

I'm going to check the keyboard again and see if it again. I had keyboards and other hardware do that to me before.

Hopefully you can get it working. I hate to see potentially working electronics get trashed.
