Hopefully it will turn some people off from meat and places will be forced to lower the prices....More meat for me!

Ain't that the truth. I'm from Upstate NY, too. But I've lived away from NY most of my life.

Oh, and add most of VA to the list as well. The hunters abound here as well.

ROFL, that´s exactly what we have been doing, since predators always have been the competitors of humans, and we wanted the deers etc for ourselfs, but today we´re no longer competitors of the wolves since we can get our food much easier then through hunt. When it comes to North America, sure it was the settlers who killed most wolves and so on, but that has NOTHING to do with the point I´m trying to make.

No, predators were killed off because they attacked the livestock of farmers. Poisoning was a favored method.

I find it sad that this pic is the center of so much controversy.

The kid is not smiling because 2 deer are dead but because his dad has provided meat for the coming year.

I have never tried hunting, but I see nothing wrong with it as long as the meat is eaten. I am in the south so it is pretty disturbing to see so much ignorance lurking aroung and all of the stereotypes. Hunting is a sport performed all over the world and not just in the south. Just because you aren't physically killing what you eat, doesn't make you any better than those who do. You get your food through the drive thru while others choose to hunt for theirs. I see hunters as being able to survive better than most of us. Most of us, including myself, are dependent on others to kill the food we eat. I am not going to sit here and pass judgment on those people who are brave enough to do the work themselves, while the rest of us coward about and are grossed out at the mere site of blood. This past thanksgiving, I am sure most of you ate turkey and made remarks about how good the turkey was. What hypocrisy! Goodness, this is like culture shock to some people.

Yes,
No,
Yes,
and BRAVERY? HAH! If some guy wants to kill grizzly bears with his bare hands, I'll call him brave, but shooting deer != brave. That picture certainly doesn't fit my definition of "cute", but it doesn't disturb me either.

I'll say it again:

Only people who have never hunted and have no idea how to hunt say this kind of garbage.

So what you're saying is... if I go bag a deer with a gun, you'll admit that I'm right? Guns are for cowards, one way or another. Humans have been hunting deer long before we had guns.

Edit:
This is merely hearsay, straight from Maddox, but the guy seems honest enough for me. He wrote about some guy who had a bear stumble into his yard. He had a hunting knife with him, so he slashed away at the bear, as he dodged the swipes, until the bear dropped dead. Now THAT'S what I'm talking about. If true.

Only idiots who have no idea of what brave means think shooting a dear from 100s of feet away is brave. What the fvck fear are you facing down to do that? The only real danger is getting killed by some crazy asian guy, but id say the danger of getting murdered is higher going to a 7-11 at 2 in the morning. And i do that all the time, while im stoned i might add. So in reality im braver than a hunter, and my hunting and gathering skills should be celebrated.
