Honestly, I have ridden these bikes now, well the proto's but people have the real ones with them and being shipped out now... They are very easy rides, very upright riding position, and they look great.

stop by 123 Southpark for a test ride if you want.

I don't see the point in purchasing an expensive bike like this.. when my $100 Huffy looks sharper, and has shock absorbers and hence a more comfortable ride. Oh and about 13 more gears.

I don't think the shock absorbers on a $100 Huffy would absorb much - a decent fork costs more than that bike. I hope some of those 13 extra gears (some of which overlap) are low enough to propel a 40 pound bike with reasonable effort.

eh, i wouldnt go as far as saying its a better ride. A lot of people think all bikes are created equal.

Not the truth, even in the slightest

Let's see him come to a stop on a hill, and suddenly notice he has to be in a lower gear... oh will he ever have fun on his bike... However with our hub's (well Shimano's) you don't have to worry

also, these 3 speeds and 8 speeds are very very very well matched to the bike... in the 3 spd, 2nd gear is almost an all the time gear, with 1 and 3 being for special circumstances...

If you guys do want to test ride, stop by 123 South Park, I won't be there, just show up looking at bikes. If you have never been to South Park, you will discover the single most amazing block in all of San Fran.

I prefer someone like this u can get in amsterdam.

My dad did a service trip in Uganda and mailed one of those bikes home as a keepsake. It's a fricken tank and a real pain to keep road worthy (and my dad is very mechanically inclined). The bike cost $65 IIRC, and more than that to ship it here.

Of course they'll succeed. They'll succeed for the same reason companies like Apple succeed. Because there is a virtually infinite supply of pretentious hipster faggots willing to overpay for shit like this. Doubly so in places like SF.

Hipsters ride fixies... get it right bro. Also, just remember: It takes a lot of money to look as poor as they do.

Whoops, I must have 'hipster' mixed up with something else. What's the word for those fags that sit in Starbucks with their macbooks writing their screenplays and drinking caramel frappuccinos?

Look I don't wish the company ill will, I just see nothing new here. In an already over crowded bicycle market with every little niche completely saturated. If they make it great, they proved me (and others) wrong. But basd off previous experience and what I see around I just don't see what this company is doing that is "new" except for some possible marketing. <queue the Apple comparisons....>

I think you don't understand the word "fags" either.

Can we mix the hipster and yuppies together? maybe even greenies?
and homerboy, it sounds like he perfectly just described fags, but that's just my opinion.

what's with all the gay hate?
Oh I see you've confused the word "i love you" with "homosexual". The word has been coopted in recent years to mean "dick head I don't like". This is not a homophobic slur.

Maybe in your world. Not here. Stop using it.

That word is universally known as a slur against gay people and it makes you look like a fucking retard using it out of context

Sorry but this is not correct. Listen to young people talk to each other, they use the word "i love you" all the time without homosexual connotations. I'm sorry if you can't keep up with modern language usage patterns. Hell, there was even an advertising campaign about this.
