The Ryzen gaming benches so far were quite a shocker. My 1800X and Crosshair pre-orders haven't shipped yet, so I have a bit of a dilemma as I can still cancel them and reverse course to go 7700K. I do need to rebuild something as my current machine can't last much longer.
Am interested in some genuine advice on which route to take. To be clear, I'm not viewing Ryzen itself as a failure and I was prepared to give up small amount of performance for more cores. But if it's getting slaughtered in gaming, that makes me question things. Gaming is the most intensive thing I do but I also like to keep computers for a long time.
Any context you guys can provide on your votes would be appreciated.
