I am as anti-trump as them come but that "article" is a pill of steaming shit. It ignores everything, every reason people voted for Trump, every reason people did not vote for Clinton, and instead blames everything on race. Note only does it blame it on race, but it says that even if you believe you are not racist, you are you just forgot that you were. Unless and until the left actually admits to the cause they will be doomed to failure in 2020.

Well, I would say that most people who are racist don't think of themselves as racist. I've seen neo nazis (aka alt right) refer to themselves as "race realists". I have a cousin who would never call himself racist say that he hates black people (and I know he voted for Trump only because his first two choices Trey Gowdy and Ted Cruz weren't options). Now I would say that a huge amount (probably a majority) of Trump supporters are racist, even if they don't think they are. They believe the shit their master told them, that Mexicans are rapists, black people commit more crime against all races than any other group, and probably something about Jews (though weirdly supportive of Israel, go figure). But even those who aren't racists that voted for Trump had to intentionally ignore a HUGE amount of racist rhetoric from him in order to vote for him.

Of course, CNN is only calling Trump supporters "ex-Confederates" in the most evenhanded, unbiased, totally non-partisan way. Because we all know the mainstream press is far, far above favoring the left.

CNN really ought to put this piece in their "Opinion" section. Until they start a "Delusion" section anyway.
No kidding, what's with the ex- part?

You guys ever think that bashing Trump like this will turn into a 'boy who cried wolf' kind of thing?

From the RNC until today there has been non-stop nitpicking of every single tiny little issue, any angle that can turn into an attack against Trump. Like the OP, they are overwhelmingly bullshit.

Most people see through it now and don't listen, y'all are all in a giant echo-chamber. The only people paying attention already don't like Trump. So what happens after he's sworn in and he actually does something really screwed up? Are y'all going to howl about it just to have no one give a shit because they tuned you out a long time ago?

Same thing Republicans did against Obama, and no one listened to them when he started doing really screwed up stuff. I just think maybe a more diplomatic approach might advance your agenda much further when the stakes are actually higher....

So you're saying that it wasn't said? Or that just because the COS who has been in the highest position of the RCN for a number of years and has never said anything similar, this year the year Trump has won the White House, says that it's time to welcome a new king shouldn't mean anything.
So if Rahm Emanuel would have said the same thing in 08 there wouldn't have been an issue. It will be interesting to see what next years Christmas wish sounds like. All that aside, I really don't want the people in the highest office touting some invisible king, be they Rs or Ds.

Well, you know what Trump's philosophy is. You're going to dream so you may as well dream big. Why go for the senate? Go for the White House. Alan Watts has noted that no sane person would want to be POTUS. It's just a bitch and a half. Of course, no sane person would mistake Trump for being sane.

I believe that Trump really wants to help America and the working class. I also believe that Trump's EGO is huge, so what he really wants is to be remembered when he dies. That his name will continue to live on 500 years later. Kinda like Washington and Lincoln.

Maybe there will be a Mt. Trumpsmore? Or, how about a 51st state named in honor of Trump.

talk about a bubble!

Maybe if you take the time to realize that all that "nitpicking about nothing" were simply responses to things Trump actually said and long-documented things he had done. None of this was or is made-up bullshit like all of those "really screwed up stuff" you imagine Obama to have done based off of some Cernovich tweet.

I believe they're called the Trump Towers. They should be renovated at the roof changing the shape to something more familiar to a person of this ilk.

Gosh, do you mean like all of that Chinese steel that went into his towers? Making America Great Again for the top 1% indeed.

That's the thing. When a billionaire making high end, high margin branded products can't be bothered to have them made in the USA, obviously his desire to return manufacturing to the USA is a far second to his desire to have even more money.

I predict that Trump will be the first President to seriously try to tackle the two term limit. He'll tweet or talk about it, he'll present something to Congress.

**do not read this as Trump will not leave office or appoint himself King (But I am sure if he could Trump would be King)**

Hmm, what do we call those Presidents . . .

Oh, yeah - ALL of them.

Trust me when I say this, the new king is Jesus and none other. That's been a common saying for much, much longer than you, I or Trump has been around; furthermore the Evangelicals would have FLIPPED if chairman of the RNC really equated Trump to a God. I've heard that saying at Christmas all my life.

What an exemplary real world example of my point.

So he is on record saying this in a public speech before? Its not like he's been a under a rock for the last few decades. I never said that that phrase was never spoken, I'm saying that this group has never said it, and especially would have never said it when a D was elected. I would love to be shown the light and have a direct quote from an R who said a similar thing when a D won. I'm not afraid to admit when I'm wrong.
