So someone stole my credit card, bought some items but accidentaly shipped them to me

So someone took my credit card about 3 days ago. Wellsfargo rocks and sent me a new card which was in my hands yesterday so no big deal. But here is the problem.

They apparently charged up my card and accidentally sent me the items. My best guess would be they accidentally selected "shipping address same as billing address" I now have $200 worth of electronic vaporizers (e-cigs?) in my room, which I have pretty much no use for.

My problem was 100% solved with the bank and I have no liability for the charges. The charges are off my account and I have a brand new card in hand. What should I do?

Really though, could they claim i'm doing something like this? If the bank sees the items went to me, could I be in some kind of trouble? I would HATE to be liable for this.

If the 'fraud investigation team' or whatever actually does their job and spends five minutes checking into the transaction (contact company, explain fraudulent charges, possibly request more info like buyer's email, IP address, or something), they're probably gonna think you are a criminal. A really bad one.

Luckily, they probably won't investigate shit and will just rape some people to make up for the monetary loss. America Fuck Yeah.

Interestingly enough, I wasn't the one who shut down my card. My bank did. Apparently these transactions triggered their fraud detection, so they already know something isn't right.

I am going to call the bank anyway, thanks.

Last time my cc number was stolen, I had odd things delivered to me, much like the OP. Tried to return them, but after multiple calls, being on hold, talking to customer service reps who didn't know what to do about it, being on hold some more, hung up on, I gave up.

i just got replacement business/personal cards from both of my banks because i made purchases between November 27th and December 15th, 2013 at target.

weird thing is i got the email notification the same day the cards arrived.

I tracked down the place these were purchased from, no customer support options other than one phone number which won't stop ringing.

The "fraudster" didn't ship the boxes, he most likely ordered them online and didn't put in the address he wanted them sent to, which means only the shipper's fingerprints will be present. Am I missing something here? Or maybe you were being sarcastic?

Did you know the stuff was coming before it arrived? Perhaps the thief didn't want to leave an address you could look into, so he shipped it to your house and hoped to pay some kid to grab them from your porch. I would have set a trap and watched.

I don't think they do. When you add a card you have to put in a billing address. I'm a little confused how this stuff ended up at the OPs door if somebody just stole his physical card.

I don't know how any place would know to ship to your home address on a stolen credit card. Something isn't right here.
