When ever a homeless person would vote, you would probably think they would vote for a Democrat. Apparently however, I learned today that there are homeless people that would vote for Republicans.
Today me and my parents were going somewhere with a family friend of ours. We were to pick-them up along the way, at a corner of a street in Manhattan. Unfortunately there is a bus stop on the corner, so my dad idled the car in front of the bus stop, and told me to get out of the car, and look for them just in case they don't see the car. The area we were in is known for a big homeless shelter, but the people that we were going to pick up were not homeless and nor did they live in a homeless shelter.
THIS IS THE MAIN PART. Apparently while I waited outside for them to come, there were two homeless men on a bench. I do not know what one of the men said, but the other replied by screaming out loud as if it was normal to do so saying, "I dropped out of college, and internships turn people into rapists." I smirked and tried not to laugh, no one would notice because I was wearing a mask.
I just don't understand how can there be such people that think internships turn people to rapists, because the reality is in fact the other way around, where internships prevent people from becoming a rapists or other criminal activity. Even then, internships have very little to do with criminal activity. I really wonder how do these people even get these things into their in the first place, and still believe in such things when they are even homeless.
I seriosuly feel New York City's homeless crisis is not going to end soon. In my honest opinion, I do not think the Mayor or Governor even know what such wierd viewpoints the homeless have on many things.
