The Lin streak has ended. It was a good run though.
Fields 1 for 8
Novak 2 for 9
Walker 1 for 6
Shump 3 for 9
Knicks lost because they couldn't play defense and most couldn't hit an open shot.
Heh.well...I think just 1 of 2 of those is a formula for losing for any team....
Heh.
BTW, the 9 turnovers is tied for most this NBA season. Another record for Lin!
That one actually made me lol.lin-denberg
He should've had couple more turnovers. He got lucky and got benefit of calls from the refs. Stern must sent out the memo.
No, I didn't expect the streak to go on forever, but I figured it might last just one more game, against the 2nd worst team in the league. What does everyone expect? The knicks to keep winning forever and never lose again? granted the turnovers were unacceptable, but he calmed it down in the second half.

Furthermore, his 45 turnovers in his first 7 starts is all-time NBA record since they started keeping records. Also, he had almost twice as many turnovers in this last game as his number of assists, which means in terms of points it's likely that his turnovers actually were worth as many or perhaps even more negative points as as his assists provided positive points for the team.
In college ball he had tons of turnovers then too. It's clear he's improved on a lot of things, but his turnovers seem to have gotten even worse. Sure, now it's against the NBA, but it nonetheless is very concerning.
He did tone it down in the second half, but still, his 9 tonite is still worse than all of his prior games, including the one against Minnesota where people were attributing it to tiredness.
I was hoping that in their first loss with Lin, it would be against a good team, and it wouldn't be because of Lin's worst attribute. However, it was against a generally bad team (although they shot well tonite), probably mainly because of Lin's worst attribute - his turnovers.
Poor transition pass to Amar’e

Steal the ball but loses it immediately
Ill-advised jump pass to Fields in the corner after driving into the paint

A rare misthrown alley-oop to Amar’e that he usually does very well.
