Knicks are only 17-17? they must have sucked before lin started.
if you're referring to how i repeatedly pummel you to a bloody pulp on various threads leading to you running and ducking from facts, guilty as charged!
anyway, this story is 10x better than Tebow. The first basketball player in the NBA for more than a decade. good to see.
What modifier are you missing in that middle sentence? I've spent a good 6-7 seconds contemplating what you could have meant and the curiosity is really burning me up inside.
The NBA hasn't really been involved in basketball over that time, and this is why I stopped watching so long ago.
It's a bunch of streetball bullshit. Glad to see people who play like Lin can actually get attention in this league of punk children. (yes, there are still guys like Dirk out there, too, but you never see these guys getting any attention)
you stopped watching years ago, but know what happened all of last decade.
yea ok.
Sounds like he missed the steve nash era. That was good stuff.

Search Jenny Hyun . . .
tmrw's game is gonna be siiiiiick
I don't know who's going to make a go at Lin but after the season is over the choice is his and I just don't see him leaving the one team he thrives in. He's also smart enough not to let money ruin his career by going for the highest bidder. He did graduate with an economics degree from Harvard after all.
I did like Steve Nash, and I always liked Duncan. But seriously, once guys like that left college, I stopped paying much attention.
I am a Knicks fan of the Patrick Ewing/Huston/Mason era (granted--Mason could be a bit of a thug, too), and the Nate McMillan/Payton/Kemp/Schrempf! SuperSonics.
Those were the last teams I gave a damn about. :\
Already happening.there's also huge endorsement money from NYC. already big money for established stars there but a unique guy with tie ins to the asian dollar train.. he's certainly in line for a huge bump in endorsements. i have the feeling he'll be putting out spots in asia too. it's arguable that he can quite possibly make more money in endorsements than in salary. if he keeps playing as well as he has. he's basically inheriting the empire that yao had to build and growing it.

According to espn's Player Efficiency Rating, Lin is 8th in the entire nba, 2nd only to point guards Paul and Rose, despite his turnovers. Simply put, those are all star numbers he's put up since his emergence.
.
Lebron + Wade at #1 and #2, that's so unfair

Jeremy Lin reportedly has a new deal with Nike
Nike has a case of Linsanity.
The sportswear giant extended its contract with the Knicks’ point guard, less than three weeks after his meteoric rise to fame, Beijing Business Today reported, in an effort to guard him from being stolen by rival companies.
Nike will soon roll out a new promotional campaign built around Lin, industry sources told ABC News — the first of what is expected to be a parade of endorsements featuring the 23-year-old phenom.
Marc Ganis, the owner of sports consulting firm SportsCorp Ltd., told the Daily News that Nike’s original deal with Lin was most likely limited, which would explain the renegotiations.
While bidding among sneaker companies for Lin could have drawn his price into the upper seven figures if he didn’t have an existing Nike deal, now it’s likely that Nike will pay him between $2 million and $4 million, Ganis said.
You've got to think Spoelstra has a lot to do with that. The guy is a nut when it comes to reviewing film; that's how he got his start in the NBA. You know he's in that locker room with reams of stats saying "OK, when you guys drive the lane, your points per possession goes way up; when you jack up threes, it goes down." I mean, yeah, all credit to LeBron and Wade; they're absolutely amazing players who have been otherworldly this season. But it's doubly impressive that you have superstars who are willing to forego their natural instincts and listen to their coach. The results are pretty damn impressive to say the least. That's no joke. And this year they decided to virtually eliminate the biggest weakness in their games...the penchant for the 3 ball. One of the smartest things I've ever seen an nba player with a high usage rate do.
