No, sir! You are wrong! Wanting to punish someone violently for doing that to an infant is NOT the same as doing it in the first place.

This crap that violence never solved a problem is bullshit. You give that guy 50 lashes in the public square and then hang him. That will incentivize a lot of dirtbags to take parenting a bit more seriously.

I doubt it. They are crazy. Coo Coo for cocoa puffs. You think this, or any other child killer or molester thought of the consequences of their actions before doing this?

I would expect he threw the baby at a wall or something similar, rather than manually breaking bone after bone. This is obviously inexcusable behavior but it is not an uncommon by-product of young, unsophisticated people of limited resources (mentally, financially, in logistical support, in role models and otherwise) raising infants.

This is an awful story but unfortunately I've heard much, much worse, as recently as in the past month or so. I will not elaborate further because this stuff is hard for most people to take.

According to court documents, 19-year-old Steiger told police he remembered pushing the baby's legs until he heard a pop.

:/

This cockroach deserves nothing less than death. Until he receives it, America will continue on it's downward spiral towards fuckdom

a crazy drugged guy probably doesn't give a shit.

Society has to be protected from this individual and that's it, internment for life with no review is the correct thing imho.
Want to spend less money? Make it less comfortable, outsource prisons to mexico or whatever.
Killing, torturing or doing whatever else to him won't change what he's done or lower teh chance of this happening again in the future.
Death penalty is pricey and law has to be applied consistently, so there will be a day where a dubious case comes and someone gets killed because the jury had tummy ache that morning and was thus inclined to death sentence instead of life in prison, or a judicial error gets committed. It's thus better to avoid this, even in cases where it doesn't sound morally wrong, because law has to be impartial.

I will give you a 100% money back guarantee that if we kill this cockroach, he will never do it again. Sure it won't undo what he's done. But at least he'll never get the chance to do it again. Regardless, prison is not the answer. Why should my tax dollars pay to keep this piece of shit alive? Fuck that.

The civil side of me says we can't simply go around killing and maiming people for their actions, no matter how heinous they are.

The parent in me wants to go break 21 of his bones just to see how he feels about it.

Oh no, he talked to Soulcougher - now Soulougher will be a child abuser and has to be killed! Sorry soulcougher, if only we had killed him sooner.

So what is your rationale for allowing pieces of shit like this to keep on living? He serves no purpose anymore but to take up resources at other peoples expenses. He forfited his right to life by being an evil sum bitch to an innocent baby. In my eyes at least. Curious what youll come up with though.

Edit: I would be curious to hear more of this story though as the article really doesnt give a TON of details. The "black out" thing either sounds like a fishy way to cover things up or he has more serious mental issues and probably shouldnt be a parent in the first place.

True, but at least we'll feel better about the whole situation. Putting him in jail makes society worse because that's money taken directly out of schools and hospitals. Sorry we can't afford national health care, we had to lock this wise and beautiful woman in jail at a cost of 40k per year for 50 years = 2 million dollars for 1 person.

Death penalty is pricey
Then maybe it should be sped up a little. Instead of putting a guy in jail for 50 years and executing him 1 day before he would naturally die from heart failure, let's change that to 50 days.
