So, what does everyone want to find on sale this year?

Personally, I'm hoping for good deal on a name brand 60" 4K television. Most of the Black Friday sales on TV's are usually noname 32" and 40" 1080p models, and it would be nice to see some quality TV's on sale this year.

I also wouldn't mind a killer deal on a 256 GB SSD.

My daughter will want a singing Anna doll, so maybe I'll find a good deal on one of those as well

About the only thing on my list right now is a decently priced GTX960 or 950 for the HTPC. Since NVidia has decided to get away from the 2GB cards, I'd love to see a closeout 2GB EVGA GTX960...

Cheap, usable laptop for granddaughter. She might be too young (5) but it can't hurt. She has a tablet that she can navigate/operate.

Cheap 12 in laptop with a skylake cpu.

A crazy good deal on 16 or 32 GB DDR3 desktop memory

A great deal on a 256 GB or above SSD, and a cheap 8 gig stick of 204pin SO DIMM RAM...both for the wife's broadwell laptop.

A phone like LG's V10 with a stronger SoC, UFS nand, and a bloatware free Android image.

Ok...the last is just whisful thinking...but Christmas *is* around the corner!

Really hard to believe it's just over 2 months away. I'm waiting for the slickdeals BF thread to appear. Should be any day now....

Good luck with that one. Maybe in 2016 they will be "cheap", but this year they'll probably stay in the $300 range.

Well, we can always hope. Newegg had a ShellShocker yesterday for a 480GB MLC NAND SSD, for $119.99. So that's ~$240 for ~1TB SSD. I saw a Mushkin Enhanced Reactor 1TB SSD for $250 or $260-ish a week or two ago too. So prices are dropping, slowly.

But good luck finding a "good" 1TB SSD for cheap. Most of these are either Mushkin or Silicon Power, aka budget brands. I haven't seen Samsung 850 EVO 1TB for less than $300. (Was a one-time ebay deal for that, other than that, I haven't seen them below $330-340.)

One good option is the 960GB Crucial M500 SSD, which is on sale at TigerDirect for $300-ish, sometimes with a $20 or $30 rebate on top.

There's a XFX gold for cheap on Tigerdirect right now for 69.99 after 30 rebate. I was also able to purchase a few parts for 20% off on my PC build with the help of my friends through jet.com. I figure that would be roughly equivalent if you are lucky on black friday.

As usual, I'll just see what strikes my fancy and/or, failing that, bottom feed... BF/CM have just been too lame these past several+ years for me to get all that worked up about them more than a week or so in advance...

Nothing I want or need. I installed my mother's television on the wall in her apartment and it looks really small for the space. The mounting bracket I got was for an up to 50" television, so I might buy her a cheaper 1080 in the 50" range, and put hers in her bedroom.

+1 I didn't even fondle my credit card last year... it was nothing like a few years ago.

Dishwasher

It's looking like that will be our Big Present this year (last year it was the microwave.) The wheels are, quite literally, off the rails... and we have already replaced it once.
