Vista x64 doesn't recognize gameport joysticks, as far as I can tell, so I can't use my venerable Win95-era Sidewinder 3D Pros. Cannot... play... Mechwarrior4!!! :|

Did you try the 64-bit Win2003 drivers for your NIC? Vista's derived from Windows Server 2003, so maybe it would work. link

AV-710 sound card, based on the VIA Envy24 chipset and they do not have a fully functional driver for 64-bit vista :| it's stopping me from upgrading. getting another sound card of equal/greater sound quality is gonna require a lot of research and probably $

A driver for my "old" (year 2004) Canon Lide30 scanner. Canon told me, they would not support this scanner under Vista and I should go an buy one of their newer models, the Lide25 or Lide35 preferably. Right on, I will certainly never again buy a scanner, printer or anything else from Canon.

Everything else works more or less, but I cant wait for nvidia to get their act together and fix their crapass graphic- and platform drivers. This could be the last straw breaking the camels back that will ensure that I never again buy nvidia either. It's mainly about missing features, functionality and bugs, but it works - more or less.

Visioneer scanner here. I've been checking their website several times a week. None of their models have Vista drivers yet. It's keeping me from making the switch. I'm still on XP.

I tried to get it working with RC2, it was a no-go.

No software for my asus tv7175 card and no hp software for my all in on psc2210v although vista privides support to print, fax and scan. Hp was nice enough to recommend a new printer that was supported in vista by them. This is probably the last hp printer I buy for a long time and I'll probably go back to canon. Asus can kiss my grits if they think I'll buy anything other than a mb from them.

Just installed the driver and Canoscan Toolbox for Vista 32 for my Lide 20. And the printer driver for my Pixma 4000. Vista 32.
Nvidia came ouit with some new drivers this week. Also look on the 8800 thread on EVGA's forum, there are several postings about 3rd party drivers (they reworked the official Nvidia driver to optimize them for Vista). I am using the TweakRUs driver for my 8800GTS, they work very well.
TweaksRUs site They ahve some 64 bit versions of some of their programs and drivers available.
Instead of standing around and wringing your hands, go out and do some research.
And I have read approximately 236 times in the last 6 months, "If you install 64-bit Vista, you will not have drivers for all your hardware". Did these messages go over you all's head? Do you not read anything? It will take more time for some of these drivers to be written. Linux went through the same scenario when Linux 64 bit first came out.

Vista has native drivers for a lot of boards,it had native x64 drivers for my nForce 4 board LAN on install, the only driver I do not have at the moment is Leadtek DTV dongle USB 2.0 tuner, however that is supposed to be out real soon, especially considering they already have it Vista certified on their homepage link.

Good luck, but don?t hold your breath? I am still waiting on XP drivers for the last Visioneer scanner I bought. I learned the hard way when XP was released which manufacture support their products and do so quickly. For instance I learned to stay away from Visioneer and HP products.

Canon had issued drivers for my two Canon printers (2 and 3 years old) and my four year old Canon scanner before the Vista launch.

My Guitarport only got beta drivers last week (and 32-bit only, to boot. There are no plans for a 64-bit driver for ANY of their hardware. It took them years to release OSX drivers as well. Odd, since they produce guitar recording hardware and modelling almost exclusively). And knowing Line 6, SP1 will be released before they have non-beta drivers for Vista.

Other than that, all of my hardware is supported (at least in RC2). But I'm holding off my upgrade until November, and I'll hopefully have a new PC by then. Line 6 had better have fully functional Vista support by then.

none, I'm fully stocked. the wife's pc however has been abandoned with her logitech keyboard combo; there will be no software enhancements for it apparently. Other than that life is pretty good

Need:

Lexmark P4350 All-in-one - Lemark says Vista drv. will be ready soon

Zoom 3025c Fax Modem - MS update has a driver which causes a lock up at Vista load. Zoom doesn't have a Vista driver available. I keep it disabled.

On-Board SoundMax works ok, but missing the SoundMax control panel.

I also have the Canon Lide30, I ran the setup in XP-SP2 compatibility mode and it loaded fine. The driver and Canoscan Toolbox seem to work well. The buttons on the front of the scanner also work.

I hope this info helps.

There is a Vista driver for the Lide scanners on the Cannon site. Plus Canoscan Toolbox.

Also not a driver, but reallllly waiting on an iTunes update - right now, it runs like sh1t.

I am missing a driver for my D-Link DWL-G510 Rev A wireless card. Am using a driver for a card known as the "Marvel Libertas." Unfortunately, I cannot get WPA to work in the slightest with this driver. Windows Update also lists a driver specifically for my card, but when "upgrading" to this driver, the card can't do WEP or WPA. I switched back to the Marvel driver quick. It is annoying that I had to switch my network for WPA to WEP, but it all works now that it is changed.

Also had some issues with my Hauppauge PVR250 at first -- got everything to work in time. I figure that was mostly user error.
