I've always considered myself a conservative republican (but NOT a Bush fan).... but I like the Daily Show & Colbert Report. Maybe I'm weird, but I've never found the show to really be Democrat or Republican, just common sense kinda stuff. For the most part, it's got some really good content.

lol... I don't think you can compare them to a band no one has heard of. Their shows are VERY popular. Why? Because they're funny! Are you a little angry because although funny and satirical, they point out the hypocrisy in government officials? If you have at least a little knowledge about politics and a sense of humor you should find them funny. Which are you missing?

none. I have both, but they just point blatantly obvious things and then say "hey look! the government is being wasteful" hurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. It's a carlos mencia joke wearing a suit & tie. no different.
