i'd be more taken aback then anything in the instant right after they did it. my reaction after that moment would be dictated by my relationship with the person.. (i.e. are they a drunk friend fooling around? or a strange guy who kissed me?)

For me it's not really a question of whether it's sexual or not. I just don't let people in my personal space if I don't know them, due to the fact that I carry weapons and have been intensely trained to keep people away from them.

lol, i was helping a friend up some steps that he completely tried to get up on his own and fell down and could of seriously got hurt (he was really drunk) and when i got him up the steps i told him i was going to place him in the bed and he turned his head while his arm was around my sholder and i was basically carrying him and kissed my cheek and said he loved me. i just laughed and said, good, you should.

It's the continental style of greeting. A kiss on the cheek or to the side of the mouth. I don't mind it (altho in certain contexts it can seem a bit pretentious). You can also do a sort of air kiss to each side, where you don't actually make skin contact.
