1600x1200 only way to fly... Dont know how people survive on anything less. 19"+ that is.

If you look at web stats 1024x768 is still BY FAR the most predominate resolution though. Poor saps

1600x1200@85 (highest real resolution - anything less than 85Hz stops being a real res )
19" Dell branded.

1280x1024 on my Hitachi CML174 17" LCD.

I'll never go back to a CRT again.

Really old MAG 21". The stupid thing won't go higher than 75Hz at 1280x1024, and won't go above 60 at 16x12. Oh well, I got it free, so I can't really complain.

1600x1200 on my 19" ViewSonic G90f, but run at 1280x1024 true color.

Stuck at native 1280x1024 on my 18" Sony SMD-S81 LCD.

Prolly 1280*1024, but I don't think my monitor can do 75hz at that resolution..it's a 5 year old monitor, so I don't like to push it a lot. 1024*768 @ 75hz for me.

I'll never go back to a CRT again.

And wish I went back, maybe not to CRT, but to a 15 incher LCD at least (since 19 inchers are a bit too pricey for me). I got a Samtron17 inch LCD now (went from 15 incher) and I can't stand running this sucker @ 1280 b/c text seems to be too small, had to resort to 1024 and it looks really crappy. Now I know why these 17 inchers cost the same as good 15 inchers - b/c they're worse (smaller pixel size). This thing will go as soon as I find a good deal on selling it, damn...

That's exactly why I went with the Hitachi. Was $600 when I bought it.. Now it's like $400 from newegg.

Sorry, but if you got a 17 inch LCD, no matter what brand, that does 1280*1024, your pixel size is 0.264 mm and not 0.297 mm like in a 15 incher, and that is very difficult on the eyes (at least mine).
