Amateurs. My friend's house was on the city limit, so about a hundred yards out in the desert from his backyard we had a bucket buried in the ground with a piece of plywood on top covered with dirt. You could only find it if you stepped on it, because little puffs of dust would come up from the edges of the wood. We would wander around a lot looking for other people's stashes, and it was common to find a porn mag or two on our journeys. Once we came to this depression in the ground with millions of magazines scattered all over the place. Our jaws dropped, we dropped to our knees, and we raised our arms in glory, but they turned out to just be catalogues or something.

That reminds me of my first ASCII Art encounter. I didn't even know what ASCII Art was. I found this diskette (my fathers) and I had suspicions.... as it wasn't labeled like most of his other files. One day when the 'rents were away I 'executed' it. I nearly freaked out when it started printing like 3 pages of garbage... fortunately no 'rents home to hear the crazy racket of the 9pin dot matrix printer. I actually stopped the printer, but, when I saw what it was printing (sort of by accident--you couldn't tell unless you looked at the 'whole picture') I actually printed out the whole thing. Heh. Was more impressed by the work that went into it, than the actual photo.

This was before graphics adapters were common.. so it was especially interesting to me. I'm sure there is some punchcard porn out there but I've never seen it. I might even still have that disc stashed away... not sure.

LSL comment reminded me, I had that game but it was a Text Adventure game. It came out long before LSL did and you went through it simillar to the ZORK games of the day... but it was the EXACT SAME game without the graphics.

I always stashed mine under the last draw of my chest o' drawers. Just take the bottom drawer out, deposit/ withdraw pr0n, put drawer back in. Worked like a charm. Every other place I tried was discovered or I thought was too risky. Too bad I couldn't get any pr0n on the old Tandy I had, would have saved me alot of trouble.

I never had to hide it. My parents didn't care about me seeing pr0n. I kept it in the bottom drawer of my nightstand so guests didn't freak out or anything. I did make good money selling it at school though.. $20+/mag.
