So who bought Futurama Volume 1 on DVD yesterday?

I did, and its great, they actually spent time on it and put thought into it. Even the packaging is great. I love the little half sized dvd cases much better than the simpsons sets. What do you think of the dvd release? Oh the deleted scenes are not very polished and nice looking though.

You sure it is dropped dropped? I heard that they might bring it back pending on the sales of the dvd. I hear they will finish this season though, there are like 9 or 10 more episodes.

I ordered mine at Amazon, but they won't ship it until the Family Guy comes out (bought them together)

I heard Fox pretty much let everyone at Futurama go and the episodes this season were already completed long before

Yeah I know the last episode was written a long long time ago, cause they wanted to end the series on a high note. Yeah I am just buying them both at the local futureshop. I hate to wait. Family dvd will be great.

I bought it the day it came out, and love it!

One question, though... is anyone else having an issue with the video playback where some frames of animation are extremely awkward and distorted? It's almost like you see multiple frames of animation at a time for 1-3 seconds, and probably happens once or twice on each of the three disks.

I am using an Xbox, so I'm not expecting DVD playback on par with a $500 dedicated player, but I own quite a bit of anime and The Simpsons first two seasons, and haven't experienced anything resembling this before.

*shrug*

Perhaps I'm just unlucky?
