took 8-9 days off at 43.. tried to get back on everyone I was playing with was 50+.. i couldnt get back into it.. started a rogue...

Lvl 33 Human Rogue on Deathwing PVP..

but i'll bet there is some others on this forum that have broken 30 days

i have started to cut down though

i was insane the first 3-4 weeks 40 hours/ week

but now down to 15-20 hours still alot but its a start

my L60 rogue has 21 days played as well.. and thats with 4 days played at L60...

thats 21 days in game btw.. 24x21 hours spent in game.....

and i pose this question to those of you on PVE (bluebie) servers:

What exactly do you do there after you hit 60? Are those servers even fun? I personally think PVE is just a means to get high enough to be able to own in PVP. Seems like in PVE servers all you would do is play to get the good lewts and thats it. I have never played on a PVE server though, so maybe im missing something (doubt it)

I must be missing something. Then again, I'm not a very good player. My fiance was appalled because for the first 5 levels of play, my only weapon was a "sharpened letter opener".

You are aware that you can PvP on PvE servers, right? You can turn it off and on, so you can do quests *or* raids, whichever you feel like.

I've only PvP one time, and that's when I was at lvl6 and I had no idea what was going on. There was a lvl 40-something Undead in the dwarf starting area. Other people were fighting him, so i just put a shot in, not knowing I was PvP-activating myself. Needless to say, I didn't last long.

OK. In pvp servers, (i play alliance) if i am in alliance territory, i can only be attacked if i attack the horde first. So that sounds very similar to your scenario. However, in contested territories, any horde can attack any alliance and vise-versa at any time. How do these territories work on PVE servers?

Same, except all players have a PvP flag (disabled by default.) Only those who have the flag enabled can be attacked (by an opposing faction.) If you are PvP disabled, but start an attack on a PvP enabled player, your flag gets sets and stays that way for some amount of time (10 minutes after combat?)

Like I said, I don't PvP yet, but I think this is how it works.

ok so how do you get flagged? thats basically the same thing as in PVP servers except by entering a contested zone it goes on automatically, and stays on for 5 mins after u leave i think. So how do you "turn on" the PVP?

And I thought I was doing good getting my druid from lvl 1 to 15 over the weekend without help. Unlimited cash...I have about 70 silver. Whats the trick? Join a guild thats insanely wealthy?

There actually doesn't seem to be that big a differnce, except that on a PvE server, you don't have to worry about opposing factions camping the newb zones, etc.
