so who still plays HoN now that it's out of free beta?

I have it, It's pretty nice, but the community can be pretty brutal at times, and it takes a good amount of time to learn the game. While I don't play it as much as I did in beta due to other gomes I play and lack of freetime. The level of competition is a little higher, but there's still players out there who aren't as good as others. One thing is that if you can became a decent player it's fun, but learning the game can be pretty hard due to ragers. In beta I've had a few friends that play it, but after they figured out the game it's fun for them...Also play with friends the thing that irritates me the most is some of the people that you play with, playing with friends can eliminate the problem, or also get good enough to play in higher skill level games.

Of the 'dota' type games, this is one I am holding out for.

Playing 1700+ and 1800+ games every night. The only downside to HoN is that 90% of the players are average of about 1450 PSR, so the bracket I play in consists of maybe 150-200 people for 1800+, closer to 800-1000 for 1700+.

Yep, this is me too. I tried HoN. Appreciate what they were trying to do, but didn't like the end result very much.

I play almost every night. Usually around 1650 to 1700.

If you love DOTA you will love this. Its just a better DOTA. I am very excited to see what Valve is planning with IceFrog.

i do. miss the dota character selection but i love the hon engine. 1600 1:1 average player . Dont know much about icefrogs game but its too late imo. He should have been making the game all the years.

I started playing this for the first time about two weeks ago..... I played LoL to see if I liked the game format and I did. I'm not very good but learning fast, yes the community can be brutal. If you play ranked games you're expected to know how to play the hero you've selected.
