So who's playing World of Warcraft?

I play EQ now and I tried the WoW beta. It is a fun game and a decent game, but I will not be buying it. Most of it, to me at least, feels like a half assed EQ in most aspects. However there are some things that got implemented that I like, but not enough to switch over to WoW.

I played OB and I'll be buying it.

Playing on the only type of server that matters, pvp. Undead priest, there's a list of the pvp guilds that are going to one server and I'm in there somewhere.

Not that hard or sad really... I spend an average 8-10 hours a day in front of a computer every weekday for work. That's not counting the other 2-3 hours I may spend gaming/filesharing/e-mailing/etc.

Although I'm sure this is meant to be taken with a hint of sarcasm coming from someone with 11,000+ AT forum posts!


My only other MMORPG experience was Ultima Online back in the late 90's, and a couple other more recent beta tests of lesser games that failed to amaze me.

WoW was another story though, it's hard for me to understand how any (MMO)RPG fan could diss this game with a straight face. There are few RPG's MMO or otherwise I've played that rival the addictive and fun factors of WoW. And this comes after playing open beta for about a week, there's not much beta about open beta folks, it's just blizzard giving everyone who's been waiting for this game a taste of what's to come... That's it, just a taste to get you hooked, brilliant marketing if you ask me.

I'll be playing PvP, probably in Central (I'm east coast, with a lot of west coast friends, it's a compromise.) And probably alliance...

i spent over 30 hours in a week playin the open beta, no way i'm gonna pick this up now when i have finals in a few weeks. maybe during winter break...
