I'm not laughing anymore. Just went outside and it was more than I thought. Maybe 14-15 inches. And the plows piled it in my driveway up to about 4-5 feet. My little Toro snowblower took one look at it and decided discretion was the better part of valor. It couldn't make a dent in the pile so I parked it. I am first going to have to shovel off the top before I try it again.

Can you post a few pics?

Don't really have time to find the camera. But it would just look white anyway.

Finally finished ploughing. Took the car out for a spin to look around. Anyone without a snow thrower is screwed. Its going to be warm Monday and the stuff is going to freeze into ice that night.

Couple pics from Portsmouth NH this morning. Still snowing lightly. We ended up with ~22 inches.

greatest neighbors ever... I went out there with a shovel, but my neighbor with a snow blower took care of my sidewalk. I just had to shovel out my stairs and a path to the alleyway.

I'm a little concerned about the 2' of snow sitting on top of my window AC units, but not much I can do about it but hope it melts soon.

No, the pic isn't mine. My friend posted it. He's ambiguous about the car being his.

Enfield CT got about 24", but kinda hard to get a concrete number with all the snow drifts. First time I've ever seen the town skip the snow plows and switch to front end loaders. Made a couple 12' piles that the kids are really having fun sliding down

Driving ban will be lifted at 4pm

Doesn't help me, my road is still completely unplowed and is 3+ feet deep. A guy down the street from me has a plow blade on the front of a small pickup and he can't even get it out of his driveway.

Got close to 30" here in Marlboro. Spent about 2 hours digging out our two cars. Easily would have been more if the complex's snow clearing bobcats weren't around to help out.

Haha wow, I will admit that's a pretty decent snow fall! I'd definitely say "fuck it" and take a cab to work that day. No way I want to try to get the car out while trying not to be late. :awe:

Where are you in Canada? Some places yes, but I grew up in Toronto and people freaked out there over a little snow also.

Some areas in MA are buried with 2 feet plus, with coastal erosion, trees down, thousands without power, etc.

Meanwhile, in our area where they predicted 10-18" we got... 3.

I'm about 8 hours north of Toronto. Toronto, being the south. Yeah, call in the army! Hahaha.

I guess it's all about being prepared though. Here, we just know it happens, and we have to continue our lives. Eventually, snow plows pass by too. Eventually.

Though we have not had snow storms like this in years. Our winters are much shorter and tamer than before.

Hmm, would insurance just total that car? That would fix your transmission problem.

Doubt insurance would do anything, the car is not really damaged. It definitely SUCKS though. Get shoveling.... lol. Shop vac in blow mode would probably work well once the worse of it is out. Then in suck mode to get it out of all the vents and crap.

Bad idea to leave a window down in middle of winter. haha.

They'll total it if it gets a chance to melt. The electronics in the dash will hold moisture in and it'll get weird electrical gremlins for the rest of it's useful life.

I had to dig out twice today, once at home and once at work, but my car is home now.
