Yep, but you could do this with anything. Cars, relationships, restaurants, pets, you name it. It's interesting to hear what people are and are not willing to cope with.

I'm stuck between 1, 5 and 7.

1: It's old but sounds like it's functional. Could download some old DOS games and play that. Could maybe even do some coding if I can find a compiler that will run in win95. though this type of speed is essentially what we have at work, and I want to pull my hair out all the time when I try to do anything because it's so slow. Everything is about waiting. Open a folder, wait. Open an excel doc, definitely wait. It can be frustrating. Though, it would perhaps make that year go by faster as I would eventually get used to the slowness.

5: lack of mouse would be annoying for a GUI OS like windows, but I can find key board based games, or code, etc. 1, being slower in hardware would still be faster to operate though because I'm not dicking around trying to select stuff with the keyboard

7: I could live with the language, but the keyboard layout is kinda a killer, but if the layout is always the same I could try to learn it and eventually be as good with it as I am with querty. First step would be to try to download a typing program and basically start over like when I first learned keyboarding.



I think I would end up going with 1.

I don't think at one hour a day I'd figure PC 7 out. If I could hammer on it all day that would be different but the equation changes every day and I only get one hour to adapt? Ugh. I suppose I can fumble through websites if they happened to be in a romance language but I've been to Asian character websites before and I was usually completely helpless.

One thing that isn't clear is if you search in English in google on that PC does it even work? Because it wouldn't take that long to figure out the keyboard change part.

You only have one hour of Internet access per day, but you have the computer to use all day long.

The search would work, but the results would all show up in whatever language the computer is currently stuck in.
