See the updated description though - your mouse cursor doesn't show up at all, so something like this wouldn't help you.

It's got Windows and allows installing new software, right? I could probably hack something up with AutoIt, maybe using the corner of a small Notepad window as my mouse cursor. :sneaky:

#5. I've used computers without a mouse (just a blinking cursor) since the 80s.

PC 3

I could wedge the screen behind my glasses like a monacle and it would look huge. Similar to VR glasses... tiny screen very close to your eye

#5 is really the only serviceable machine because you can get by without a mouse. All the rest are fundamentally broken in some way.

Computer #5 is what I use at home. The regular mouse that's attached get's "stuck" - it won't move in one axis or another. I've taken the thing apart, cleaned it, etc., but the problem persists. I just happened to see a wireless mouse at a store, no name brand, and it was only a couple of bucks, so I purchased that. It sucks. Big time. The scroll down wheel will scroll down a couple of lines, then suddenly jump up twice as many lines, or vice versa. Plus, the computer is at the bottom left of where I sit, and if I use the mouse to the right of me, it appears to be too far to get a good signal back to the little dohickey that's plugged into the USB. So, to even be usable at all, I have to use my left hand with the mouse. And, the battery seems to die in about 1 day. The battery is currently dead, and I simply haven't thought of it when I was out shopping - to get a new corded mouse (I'm not bothering with the battery again; I'm throwing the piece of garbage out.)

So, #5 is what I live with at home. It's pretty easy once you get the hang of it.

What exactly does #7 mean? Do websites also get translated to a random language, or is it just the OS? If it's just the OS it's really no big deal.

Also does the layout of the keyboard change also each day, or is it just a weird configuration that remains constant?

If it's foreign language OS only, and keyboard layout is stable (also assuming this one has a mouse), I would consider #7 over #5.

Computer 7.

I would get used to the keyboard in a few months, and also learn braile.

Also, trying to figure out the new language would help to kill time and make the year go easier.

Computer 6 seems alright. I mean hell, 90% of the population uses such a computer.

So with computer #1 I can still play games from the 90s, run programs from the 90s, read email, use FTP, etc. I can stream music just fine, video not so much. Yeah. #1, no question.

#7, I can just copy and paste english as soon as i get an alphabet. If all else fails I can just memorize the ALT+4 key codes for the alphabet.

Computer 7... if I go to English websites, they'd be displayed normally... right? Seems like we have a winner.

#1 was my initial impulse, but reading through the thread, #5 and #7 look much more appealing. #7 seems more effortless once I get over the initial hurdle of learning the keyboard, so I'll go with that.
