SoB: ATTN: Removing 0 work/duplicate accounts

[Confused]

The following users are on our Team, however have never done ANY work what so ever, and appear to be duplicate accounts.

I am proposing that some/all of these accounts, especially the ones that appear to definately be duplicates, be removed from the Team.

I don't see any reason not to. A lot of them appear to be duplicate accounts, many of them have been around for at least 10 days and have no activity at all. We don't want to make people angry, but it seems obvious that they were either mistakes, or they have decided not to run SoB.

Unfortunately, at the moment, there is no way to send any emails out to members on the Teams...this is hoped for soon. I could wait until this feature is given to the Team leaders, or, I could just remove all unused accounts after say, 30 days?

I say, wait until 30 days after there activation of there account, if no WU is produced, then delete.

I agree you should give any account 30 days and if its still 0 kill it. That is unless it is an obvious mistake, if that is the case just kill the extras.

At least 3 of those where my failed attempts to get connected .. seems there was a problem with signing up via the client recently ..

And if you look at the sequences of names it looks like a few others were having the same problem as well .. perhaps it was one of those strange intelligence test to see how many times you'd try something before you relised it's screwed and look elsewhere for a solution .. the problem was occuring between members 73 to 109 by the looks of it .. and could well include the only other 2 names on the list as well ..

Special mention has to go out to Joshua and Seagrave for persitence

You have found us at just the right time, we are just about to have a race with TeamTNT, who are currently in 6th place overall, and who are friends (kinda ) with us



I had a feeling that there was some problems with the signup (it has also been noted by Louis Helm on the project's main page), so I think these duplicate accounts will be the first to go

Well seems they are happy to try to kick some "TA butt" .. so I guess we are going to leave them in a trail of dust instead .. they'll have to pick up a bit just to stay even at the moment as they are 2.52 M/day behind

I'll leave you on the team, I knew you were waiting for this (or not exactly this, but you were waiting for something )

Only going for dupes at the mo I think. I'll revisit this thread in about a month, and see who else (other than dupes) are on the list still, and then go from there

Once you've confirmed duplicates (like Doobershus accounts), you should email Louis and have him delete the duplicates.
