Why would anyone live in California? I know its nice and all if you dont mind crazy high taxes, a bankrupt state that pays with IOUs and loads of people who "just cant get along". Even if I could adapt to all that its the fear of San Andreas that cinches the deal for me. We all know its going to happen. That or Yellowstone if you like Montana, but then 80% of us will die in that one.

let's compare the other major cities

Chicago - the place sucks, the weather sucks, not as much cultural diversity
NYC - who the hell wants to live in this dirty, shitty, crowded place? you smell urine walking out of rat infested subways
Boston - weather sucks
Atlanta - not a bad place.. if you're black
All of Texas - too humid, weather is horrible in the summer, you're either from mexico or a white person... anything else you won't fit in very well.

if you work/party where you live then life can be good on the commute front. Women out here do look at earning potential more then other cities I've lived in hahahah.
