SoCal-ers... how have your experiences been with T-Mobile?

I was going to go with Cingular, but it turns out it's a little too expensive.

T-Mobile is more affordable, but how is the coverage? Phone recommendations?

T-mobile is probably the 2nd weakest major cell phone provider ahead of A&TT Wireless.

You'll be lucky if they are still around (without a merger or take over) in a year.

my best friend who goes to school at UCLA tried it out. they gave him 2 weeks to see if he liked the service and coverage. he was back in there in 4 days.

T-mobile was pretty weak. I recently switched to ATT and I like it.

I live in Los Angeles and recently signed with Verizon. IT ROCKS. Even it if is more expensive, paying the extra dough is worth not having to deal with crappy reception and dropped calls.

verizon seems to be the best, but their phones suck! I like my service with ATT, pretty good. they are really improving now.

i just started using t-mobile (samsung e715 baby) in arcadia and at ucla and have had no problems. im not sure how it is in the cell reception black hole that is westwood but where i live (brockton and wilshire), i get full signal. i get signal everywhere on campus and can make perfect phone calls with only 1-2 bars out of 6.

my friend's verizon reaches parts of campus cingular and tmobile don't touch. i had better reception with cingular than with tmobile. regardless, i love my sony ericsson t610.

Dezign, for LA, don't go with T-mobile or Cing.

Trust me.. Verizon is WORTH it. It's sad, but true..

I checked out all the lower priced wireless offerings and wound up biting the bullet and going with Verizon. Yep, they rape you on the rates but their coverage is excellent.

On campus it's great, but beyond that...

I'd go Verizon.

tmobile and cingular is the same because both of them use the same towers...

i have tmobile...and this is their excuse for dropped calls: when you call, the reception meter SUDDENLY goes to zero..wtf....and when you give up calling, you suddenly have 5 bars...wtf...

sometimes, when you call..actually half the friggin time when i call...the ring tone doesn't even start..wtf..

i have 1000 anytime nationwide w/ free weekends for 40 bucks...

1000 anytime eh?..half of it is failed calls....so essentially, i have 500 minutes to use....


best service is probably verizon....ATT is the worse in so. cal.....

verizon and nextel has the best receptions based off what I see from my friends' phones....


i guess cell phones in general in SD are horrible....u knw how in LA, regular antena channels are 2,4,5,7,9,11,13,18..and so on...SD?....69 (WB), 39(NBC)..and u'll be lucky if you get TV reception......unless you get cable ....which is like the only way to get any TV in SD
