"In Vancouver in 2010, hosts Canada enjoyed a fairy-tale ending to the mens tournament as Sidney Crosby scored the gold medal-winning goal seven minutes and 40 seconds into overtime to secure a 3-2 win over the USA."
This was the most exciting hockey game I've ever watched*. What a huge release of anguish from everyone in the bar. It must have been amazing in Canada. A rivalry final of USA v Russia would be awesome in Sochi.
*I was only a few months old during Miracle on Ice.
I am SO rooting for a USA v Russia final.
I gotta say, I'm getting sick of Canada.
But that's because our local NBC station, recently bought by Sinclair, is demanding a large amount of money (the local station blows, and NBC has barely any good national content ) from our local cable co. So, what did they put in place? CBC.
Still get our coverage, and it's nice that CBC is supposed to be covering a LOT of the Olympics... but dammit, these announcers are awfully pro-Canada.
