Its not really propaganda. There are plenty of construction issues. They have spent alot and a lot things have problems, from out door venues having issues to new infrastructure and housing being substandard. Where did all that fucking money go?

This is one of the most expensive Olympics, summer or winter, ever.

To put it into perspective, Lake Placid cost $368MILLION, after adjusting for todays inflation. Fuck Salt Lake only cost $2BILLION.

Even best case estimates, Sochi has cost $24billion. For the amount of money spent there should be zero problems.

The greatest tragedy is, Russia is even a bigger shit hole for the majority of its people. Going from Facism to Democracry and then slinking back to Totalitarianism has not been to kind to the everyday Russian.

The U.S. is no shining golden poster child for The Truth, but damn does Putin have all of you gobbling up his seed on your knees. I do pity the Russian citizen, they are so used to it - so long as they remain alive, they take it in stride and smile. A strong-armed government makes them happy for some reason. Their bravado shines through national politics in essentially the exact opposite way of American political bravado.
Ours is unfortunately more costly at the moment, though Russia would be worse if they had the economy to support it.

ah ok. i lol'ed watching the games yesterday, they had a 10 minute expose on julia at her home in hawaii. lots of shots of her tight abs and butt outfitted on the beach and the weight room with shorty shorts and a tank top. seems to me they're giving her a push since lindsay vonn isn't around to take up all the air time.

The issue is that Putin supposedly "spent" ~$50 billion on these Sochi games. Canada spent about $12 billion only four years ago.

Why are bathrooms made of cardboard, why is the water supply filled with toxic chemicals, why was one of the central press hubs still under construction when the games opened? Worthwhile criticism, I'd say.

Though, I don't really fault the supposed issues with the snow and ice--I put that on the IOC for agreeing to let a subtropical region host the winter games. Then again, we get back to that $50 billion, and where most of it went....
