Socket 939 board just burned out

I was just upgrading my video card and my northbridge chipset failed on my Asus a8n-e board, loved the board too overclocked very well. Only problem is I can't find anything to replace it with, newegg barely has anything in stock and I really want something with a nForce northbridge and supporting 4gb of ram and that overclocks fairly well but I haven't been able to find anything that would really suit what I want online. I really don't see a real need at upgrading to AM2 at this point since all they added was the DDR2 ram. Anyone know of any place that has a good board like gigabyte, msi, dfi, asus, abit nforce4 in stock that can ship quick?

<sigh> I think my 939 system is starting to degrade too. I used to run my CPU at 2.7ghz every day, now that overclock doesn't seem stable. I also added my power hungry Radeon 2900 Pro, I think that plus my overclock may be pushing my 550 watt power supply a bit harder then I'd like. Oh well, tons of upgrade options coming right around the corner.

*edit - Your best bet for s939 stuff at this point is probably Ebay.

BTW, I've got a DFI Ultra-D, plus an Opteron 170 that will do at least 2.8 on it for sale. I just haven't added it to my FS thread yet.

My Asus a8n-e died few weeks ago, I got a cheapo mATX Foxconn (about $40 after rebate) it is one of the few mATX models that has for memory slots, plugged the components into it and it is good to go.

First off replace/take backk the PSU, you stated the PSU was acting flaky and I bet that is the issue not the video card.

First off replace/take backk the PSU, you stated the PSU was acting flaky and I bet that is the issue not the video card.

I built a few nf4 foxconn atx with 6150 IGP/PCIe in december, 2005. Seem like solid build (no call backs yet ) Love those full size boards. Hope the matx serves yah well

At the OP: My builds were the red nf4 '1st revs' but here is the Foxconn NF4UK8AA-8EKRS 939 NVIDIA nForce4 Ultra ATX w/o IGP for $70 at the Egg.

Mwave had 2 models of the a8n last time I checked for $38-46 shipped in the refurbished section.

Ended up buying a core 2 conroe 2.66ghz 4m cache 1333fsb, msi motherboard with nforce5 and sli, 4gb of patriot ddr2 800. Should get me running fairly quickly.
