watched the videos on IGN, it looks super fast with amazing animations if you ask me. Dunno what kind of rig you'll need to have it playing like in the videos, but it looked damn pretty and moved faaaast.

SOF I was great, when Hawk was shot in the head during the cut scene I was actually upset.
SOF II was fun, and as everyone else has already said the MP's God like, I especially like the map where you're at the mansion.
SOF III should be sweet, the graphics are really good, and the over the top blood level will make it a must buy for me. I might even break down and get it while it's still full price. Since it's Activision and it probably won't be a huge selling game we might see it @ $29.99 within 3 months.

I feel like getting a PS for Christmas... but if this is how it's gonna go screw that!

UT99 = yes, Q3 = no. SoF2 had the best MP EVER. I'm going to say you never played SoF2 MP. UT 99 was good, but way below SoF2.

I picked up CoD4 on Wednesday. It runs OK on my system on a WS monitor. Frames around 30 FPS and up in the solo campaign. Wish it was just a little faster. Multiplayer actually runs even faster.

One thing I don't like about CoD multiplayer is that it is a snipe-fest. If you're into that kind of thing you'll love it. All sorts of places to hide and I think half of my deaths were from people I never saw. What I loved about SoF2 multi was that it is much harder to snipe. You win with movement and shooting skills, not finding the best snipe nest.

True, people run behind you constantly, LOL. In the CoD4 DMs I played there are alot of trashed out buildings, multifloor spots with windows, rubble, walls, half walls......crapola galore to hide. Basically outdoor environments. And there are many spots with a good long view. In SoF2 the maps are generally inside buidings so there is far less sniping 'cause there is far less to see from one spot. You can also control the space around you somewhat. I much prefer the SoF approach.

Yeah, CoD4 had pretty much eliminated camping spots. every building has at least 2 entrances.

maybe the reason I like CTF so much is because players are always coming from the same spot and you know where to expect them and they generally aren't coming from your area, unless they have the flag.

CoD4 also seems to randomize the spawns too, which sucks because you can be running through an area and have an enemy spawn right behind you.

i could care less about storyline. i'm getting this game for MP! if MP is as good as SoF2, this will be a winner.

i guess i shouldn't say that. i did like the SP in SoF2, so while my main aim is for MP, i still hope SP is good.
