Software that allows only a handful of websites to be accessed???

Basically looking for software/app that limits everybody's browsing to a handful of websites that we need to use everyday.

Problems w/ internet browsing have been growing & while, ya, everybody's got antivirus & what not, we're still looking more for a way to ONLY allow certain websites rather than restrict others. (i.e. right now we just run a modified .host file to block the obvious problems, but these modified host files are getting a little lengthy).

Use a Router and an Access Control List

You will be able to let them Only get to the
sites you want them to. An alternative is to
use a PROXY Server which has what is allowed / blocked
in it. You then point the Browser to the Proxy Server in the
browser connection settings. You would, however, need
to lock down the Browser Control Panel, so the users cannot
get into the settings and turn off the Proxy Server.
That is why a Router is sometimes the best choice.

Basically the control panel for the router you get will detail how to do this. I would get the router model first and then search how to do it. Router configurations can vary occassionally.

You can lock down the computer in every way, from websites to visit to blocking programs. You can even set a timer for usage and then it reboots and wipes everything to before they used the computer.
