Software Website - Legit? (Office XP $95.00/Windows XP Pro $75)

I am new here but have been "lurking" around hot deals for a while. Usually by the time I find a good deal someone has already posted it. I came across this site:

I did a search on whois.net and they have the following info:

They did ask some weird questions in their like your DOB and Maiden name (i gave them false info). Is this legit or should I be calling my credit card company? I did a search for this company on AT but nothing came up.

heheh - nice of you to do the research beforehand, but Id bet a toe or two that this is a scam. The minimum order thing is a dead giveaway. Also in general u will never find MS software signifigantly below retail - even if its comparitively old. $95 is WAY below retail, so either this is a scam or what these guys are doing is illegal.

licenses, scarey that it doesn't say new retail box, just says CD.

Most prices were not that great. The MS stuff was comparable to student prices and much more than M$ employee prices.

I was about to order Premiere 6 and Delorme GPS (not sure what device it works with but for 20 bucks, who cares) Total was $80 plus I reportedly get a free palm 500 too!!!

To bad they don't take AmEx so I could use private payment.

I guess I don't really need Premiere. I never quite figured out how to use my copy of Media Studio Pro, and I already have a Palm and I could always use the Thomas Guide and a compass....

If you're that hard up for a good price, then you don't have the money to burn on this site.

While I'm sure we all thank you for the effort, I'd advise against ordering from the place. It's not worth the trouble if anything goes awry.

If you are shopping for an inexpensive Microsoft operating system, try Number 9 Software. They have some of the best prices around. The majority of their products are OEM, so don't expect to get the pretty box and all from them. Also, read the descriptions carefully. Some stuff comes with manuals, certificate of authenticity(COA), license, etc. Others will include it on the CD. Still others will not include any documentation (i.e.- you broke your CD and have all of your documentation and just want the new CD to have a full licensed copy). I bought an OEM copy of Win98SE way less than retail. They are legit. There Reseller's Rating is 4.6 out of 7.0. I had no problems ordering from them and would definitely order again.
