I saw some scalpers on the side of the road a few miles from the venue and asked what they had...they were trying to charge $150 for 2 tickets...I talked them down to $70 because the show started in an hour. We got in the car and started driving away with the tickets. It turns out, one was marked, "Handicapped" and the other said, "Companion".... We got to the show and were escorted to the row just behind the closest section....they gave us a few folding chairs and we watched the concert from there......20 feet from the beer cart.
I've always wondered if scalpers get desperate and just let them go for face value or cheaper. Some stand outside the venue peddling tickets and I've seen them continue peddling right up until the opener... Not sure how successful they usually are.
Not my fault you don't pay attention to on-sale date I don't think I've ever had an issue getting tickets to shows.funny you made this thread. I discovered Fleetwood Mac will be in Denver Dec 13th and got all excited. Went to ticketfuckers and its sold out. So i went to stubhub and tickets in the nosebleed section almost behind the stage are $250 each! looks like ill never see FWM in concert.
Years ago I decided I wanted to go to a Dave Matthews concert the day of the concert. I didn't have tickets, but called a friend of mine and asked if he wanted to drive 100 miles to the concert and try to find some tickets.

It was pretty awesome. Depending on the show, venue, weather, you might be able to buy the day of for cheaper and who knows where the seats will be!
