The problem with the ram on pricewatch is that you have to pay shipping and tax which pushes it way over 100 dollars.. I'd rather go for Kingston than the generic one.

I bought this from buy.com because on the other 10+ times I've ordered from buy.com I have been highly satisfied.

I looked at Pricewatch but am most often unimpressed with the low price vendors. Quite often I go to their website and find high shipping and sometimes handling charges.

I ordered for my new Dell PIII 800 (the Dell deal I got!). This RAM my Dell should accept since it can be ordered with 1 stick of 256MB PC100.

Say I can't overclock this RAM to 133Mhz which is better 128MB at 133Mhz or 256MB at 100Mhz?

Does your computer gain significant performance with the added RAM? I know in some applications it would but in general gameplay is there a noticeable improvement?

i picked it up...now ill have 384...will i see a significant improvement with this upgrade in win2k pro? I just installed win2k this morning. Also... anyone own this memory and can say that it runs stablely at pc133 cas-2-2-2? I think too many people are posting that they "heard" that it will but i want to know for sure. I currently have a pc133 cas2 crucial with micron chips on it....i dont want to have to downgrade the performance on that for the new kingston module...

I have the 128mb modules from the last DOTD. Two of them, Infineon chips doing 100 tho. But CAS2. That's coupled with my old 64mb *generic* with Micron chips also running the same. No probs.

Doesn't help much in terms of speed gains on Win2k pro tho. Unless of course you're doing lots of photo editing like i do.

I have 2 of the last DOTD Kingston 128 Value Ram with the Infineon chips. I am running them at 2-2-2 133. No problems at all.




Gonna order me a 256'er right now. Sweet deal.

I get a message saying that I used a coupon already and all the other $20 off coupons are expired or mia. I had to use a coupon a few weeks ago on a cf card for the digicam and wound up using both of these because buy.com screwed my first order up and I used another one to get what I wanted and the end result is two coupons used to get an item. Then low and behold they wound up sending the first item anyways. Argghhh.. want the ram but need the coupon

Just had to jump in on this. I can't believe some people are knocking this deal. Sure there's other ram on pricewatch that's listed for the same price. But first, you have to pay extra for shipping. Second, the other ram doesn't work in BX chipsets. And finally, this stuff is Kingston--it has a lifetime warranty thru Kingston. I would have a lot more faith in Kingston's lifetime warranty than some smalltime company on pricewatch. Plus, like everyone else said, this stuff will probably run 133mhz anyways.

Sweet Deal, I jumped in. Even if this stuff doesn't do PC133 it will do CAS2 as advertised. What would be really sweet is if it will do CAS2 at PC133...we can only hope!
