Does Staples do this to people often? I mean, they gave me an estimated delivery date! I normally order from Ingrammicro and Techdata for my business, and am used to things being in stock and shipping when they say it is in stock and able to be shipped.



Well, thanks again for posting the deal. I think I am going to make purchases elsewhere (not Staples) in the future.

Yeah, but it's my understanding that the newer Mobile Celeron processors (1.5 GHz and up) feature 256kb of cache. This would mean even more-improved benchmarks on the Mobile Celeron.

I have a 1.6 GHz Mobile Celeron in my HP laptop. It's a very capable processor for what I need my laptop to do.

They agreed to sell their demo model for the sale price w/ no additional discounts for it being a demo/used item. Staples & Toshiba's mail in rebates will be applied as if purchased online. I missed out on any additional coupons. I'm just happy to have finally gotten in on a hot laptop deal. This is by no means my dream notebook, but it'll get me by until then and at this good of a price I won't have any trouble giving it to my kids later on.

I GOT ONE!!!!

Local store sold one to me for $999 price minus $100 coupon with a little help/persuasion from online manager. Inlaw picked it up this morning!!!

After rebates my total is $625.

Just to let you know.. Be ready for the card from Staples declining your rebate for $150. I called the number on the resubmission card and they need your full name and address and the complete description of the item purchased and they ask you to read the upc number to them. I am so glad I made copies of EVERYTHING! It will take another 3-4 weeks to process the rebate. I think this is because I had to send a photocopy of the upc to Staples and the original went to Toshiba.
